kinda Sad but mom showed my how to "shift with a blip" i did it once worked 2nd time i missed ..... voted not to do again lol. that takes some skill thodamn thing just falls right in when you get it right. My dad is good enough he can race and not use the clutch of corse hes not Redlineing and then bliping ...... dont have to tell ya what that would do. but he was going pretty fast and shifting like a champ.

Before you start knocking the Automatics...

The Evo tranny isn't doing so great when it comes to reliability. Mitsubishi isn't even honoring the warranty even tho it's covered. We had an '02 Evo at our shop that had just 3000 miles with the tranny being shot and it wasn't even driven hard. It cost the owner $1600 to replace it. Another shop had an '03 Evo that trashed the tranny with just 200 miles AND the second tranny died at less than 1000 miles. The owner wasn't very happy.Again,Mitsubishi refused to cover the warranty. Two owners complained about the tranny having a hard time shifting between 3rd and 4th,with less than 1000 and 3000 miles.
There's plenty of Evos with the same issue. A car like this that cost $$$ shouldn't even have this problem so soon. There's got to be someone here on this site with the same problem.
I plan on getting the Evo X so I'd like them the fix the problem first and to honor the warranty.

For those who have an Evo,I'm looking forward to joining you guys.

the evo 7 gta is a 5 speed automatic, but also has a sport mode that you can shift using thumb operated selectors

If you want an automatic in an Evo you should seriously consider buying a Toyota Camry.

Why would you do that & not use the JDM Evo VIII GT-A tranny?
