Ok, here's the scoop!

Just left the Dealership, and I was told the following. Remember, you can get one where you want, I don't set the prices, I just report them. Remember, as a favor to you guys

I guess there are 3 MR's comming in, the only ones in Indianapolis I have been told.

2 MR's graphite gray, black interior. color on the 3rd, I am not sure of.
Price with "adjusted market value" which is actually the mark up, is MSRP plus 3,500. Again, I didn't set the price, I report it to you.

2 EVO 9's comming in. Totally loaded (arent they anyway?)

1. Black
2. Silver
Price is 33,500 for them.

VIN #'s are to be given to dealership/me on Friday, will post them if interested. The ship date to the Dealership is 45-55 days! from today. or I guess from the release of the VIN#'s?

I hope this removes the egg on my face for starting this thread. I guess the egg goes back on for the "adjusted Market Value" though.

PM me if interested, will do all I can to help,
Kevin

I am affraid so. I dont set the prices, but if someone wants one bad enough, I guess they will pay it.
I just like the name they use instead of MARK-UP! Its the old Supply vs Demand. I would pay it if I wanted one bad enough!

Are Evo's really going for that much?? I know this is the '06, but before we bought our used '03 earlier this year, we checked out new '05's here locally (Iowa/Illinois). The local dealer here had a white MR, silver MR, and silver regular (I refuse to call it a GSR) all at invoice, and this was March of '05. They sat there for a long time (months). In fact, the last time I was there, all 3 were still there. (A couple months ago). If they were really in that much demand elsewhere in the country, why wouldn't other dealers be offering to take them off of this dealers hands?

Wait until spring, I would imagine you would be able to buy the '06 at 1k or 2k off of MSRP.

Supply and demand. If you want a brand new car hot off the presses and so do a hundred other people, you're gonna pay. Definitely wait til spring. Especially in Indy. Who wants to drive their brand new Evo with summer tires in the snow?

I agree, but maybe someone from FLA to CA might pick it up. I doubt if someone from Indy would.

Since you are working at a Dealership, what is your "mark-up"? who sets them anyway? what is the delivery time on yours? what colors do you have comming in?
Since this started to be a "help" thread, join in and help someone get their dream car.

I think its funny that a dealer representing a company whos immediate future is in jeopardy is marking up cars that would do them much more justice on the road at MSRP rather than the negativity surrounding 'market adjustments'.

But then again, we can only blame ourselves. Refuse to pay it, buy elsewhere. If we pay it it supports their practice.
