I don't belive that for a sec. Reps don't know their @sses from a hole in the ground. They're probably saying that to bump sales of the IXs that are still sitting on the lots.

 

I never believe anything i hear at mitsu dealers. Is it also going to only come in pink?

 

I can't believe people buy the crap that the reps tell them. They only say stuff just to sound like they know what they're saying, and like someone said to sell the EVO IXs. I remember asking different reps back in 04/05 about the EVO coming to canada and each time they would says it's coming for sure...blah blah blah...well it never came.
Why don't you take the info provided by mitsu about the X coming with a MT transmission and throw it in the reps face.

 

according to detroit. it will be offered in a 5 speed as well as the paddle shift. so take it for what its worth.

 

Just like the turbo Eclipses, our resale values will stay very high. I hate the look of the X so I dont care if they make a manual or not. I plan to keep my VIII forever.

 

Remember this transmission IS a manual trans, the difference is the clutch is engaged and disengaged via a electronically controled solenoid instead of your foot. There is NO torque converter to stall the shifting (like an automatic). This gear box will shift faster and will wear longer (especially the clutch). I think this is a move ahead (a Evolution ...perhaps?), and will in no way delute the Evo's edge.

The proto-X looks great, especially in person. The car looks poised and balanced.

 

I would take a 8 or 9 over a 10 any day from what I have seen so far. Maybe that will change after I drive one.

still think the x looks like an older s40... but still plan on changing my viii for a x as soon as i see the x on the road... well thats if i can get over that s40 issue maybe its not that bad looking on the road...
