catch my drift? by making it harder to mod their cars won't break as much.
how many stock cars or new stock evo's have problems... not many at all....
the super modded ones have problems..
They will be stupid not to what? Worry about it?
Worrying about something that is completely out of your hands and as trivial as whether or not a car company is going to build a car the way you think it should be is about the stupidest sh*t ever. Especially when it is all speculation at this point.

the new m5's were originally gunna come out 7speed smg only but all the M guys were upset and im sure they *****ed and complained and stuff, and now they come 6 speed manual... so keep *****ing and complaining and maybe they

Here is my issue with this statement.
All the cars you mentioned above are race cars where they spend majority of their time in full throttle.
It is vital for all these cars to minimize spending time shifting allowing them to cut that 100th of sec per lap/stage.
Majority of the road driven cars spend very little time in full throttle.
What's desirable in race condition is not necessarily desirable in public roads.
Many of the Manu-matic, SMG, etc. have several safety parameters to prevent damage to the tranny.
For example, most do not allow the driver to hold on to the gear even if that is what the driver desires at the moment.
All of the race cars that were mentioned gives the driver 100% control over their gear selection.
Currently only system that comes closest to that is Ferrari.
I had an opportunity to drive several different cars equipped with these type of gearbox.
Personally, I wouldn't trade manual trans with any of the semi auto trans.

Yes you will able to hold a gear and stay there if you want.
people are already complaining about the 6speed MT new m5
apparently you cant launch it, caus bmw doesnt want to be doing clutches all day long
in the "power" mode, 500 hp, its very very limited, like something like you cant rev over 2k when not moving.
you can in the 400hp mode, but for that big car, its slow, and when you're spending almost 100grand, who wants a compromise like 100 hp??

For people who love the evolution of the Evolution a lot of us seem to fear change.
Again....Why is everybody saying oh a M5 V10 can do this an M3 can do that or this Ferrari can do that, using those as references towards the evo is pointless. They are VERY expensive cars and I doubt the evo x will have very few similarities in its transmission. Everybody is just speculating and already in their mind saying its going to be POS or they better not do that or this. Mitsubishi is going to do what they are going to do, and I doubt under the Evo platform that it will be a dissapoint. Most people complain the evo is an ecobox and it needs more luxury items, now they are going to get it and they are complaining about that, what a bunch of hypocrites

I think the rep might be wrong, I've seen pictures of hit having a Manny trans with no paddles..... Mitsubishi isn't stupid. Why do you think they brought it to America in the first place??? Heritage and Demand. I believe they are putting an auto in to push sales for people who don't drive stick. Mitsubishi is well aware of the type of car they make and the crowd that follows it. That crowd would turn into a mob if it was only available in AUTO.

we have a 06 e55 up to 40 mph if i floor it the tires spin.. i launch at aroudn 1800 power braking.. and give maybe 75% til 25-30 mph and even then the tires dotn want to hook up
and bmw owners only know how to complain lol their cars are already perfect lol luxury and performance

well figure it this way... and m3 is 45k lets break it down
45k for base m3
-5k for the name lol
-1k for all the leather
-1k for the nice stereo
-1k for the forged 18's
-1k for navi
-2k for free maintnence
-3k other nice luxury stuff (auto windshield wiper, xenon, butt tickler, etc)
basically stripped down to evo status lol
if mitsu made an M3 it would sell for 31k + tax + tag + title
so the smg isn't out of the evo league... the e-gear in the lambo is.. but the smg should be similar, and i must say if its anything like it and has launch control i think i rather have that than a manual. can concentrate on driving and looking for cops instead of rpms.
