Whos not buying an X? for whatever reason

for reasons like...

"its not really, an evo if its not 4g63"
"the evolution stops at the IX"
"its so ugly"
"it lookslike an audi"
"it looks like an tsx"
"it shares a motor with a Dodge"
"it shares a motor with an Hyundai"
"the motor is untested and/or unproven"
"tuners will have a harder time tuning it"
"theres no aftermarket support for it yet"
"it shares no common things with the evo now"
"its an aluminum block"
"blah blah blah"

please copy and paste the list and add your name, thanks!

please keep it to just names and a one liner on why you wont, please open up another thread to discuss whatever else you feel the need to discuss.

the main purpose of collecting the names is so that when all these i got my X threads start coming up, and so on, we can politely ask the mods to run IP checks, and if you are on this list, then we will make fun of you and bring this up...and point and laugh some more...

cause my next car will be a more "adult" car, like a bmw, lexus, infiniti etc. also, my dealer sucks compared to the lux dealers svc dept.
also, i plan on keeping the VIII for a long time- this coming from a person who usually switches cars every 2 years.
the X is nice, but it deserves a better dealer network befitting a $40k car.

I like Ferraris, Lambhorginis, Bugattis, yeah I will get one of those In all reality, in the 35K range, I don't think anything beats an Evo and the next generation shouldn't be that much more expensive. As far as the engine is concerned, Mitsubishi had to drop it for something totally new sooner or later (4G63 is over 20 years old). I know Evo X has a lot of haters on this board but somehow I have a feeling a lot of you will be converted back (probably under different nicknames lol) when the actual Evo X will be revealed.

And some of you guys are talking about luxury cars, that is one of the Evo X areas that Mitsu wanted to improve upon, Evo X as a daily driver/cruiser, I don't think it will be as rugged as previous Evos but that doesn't mean it won't be faster or more nimble.

GTR .... goto next level
Evo was supposed to be cheap alt. for GTR ( supposed to be 1/2 price )

$35k for Evo is already my max limit , X is gonna costs even more
even if they try so hard to add luxury into that , it is no luxury car
it cannot complete with a luxury sports sedan , ever ( S4 , M3 , C )
G35 currently price lower than most Evo .... so I cant see why I want a luxury Evo.
I cant see any luxury 4 cyclinder car can sell to make a profit.

Not so fancy about 'adult' cars
coz I already own those .... they are lack of characters
can easily fall alseep when driving those

(oh yeah ... I want an elise .... =P )

I don't think a base Evo will be any more expensive than the current RS. Of course adding the big stereo or navigation will add to the price but then again those things aren't available for the current Evo so it's not a fair comparison.

Of course Evo X won't be able to compete with S4 or M3 on luxury level but it will be brought closer to them then the current Evo, and again, Evo costs about 29-35K, S4 or M3 cost about 15-20K more so there really is nothing to compare. And as far as Infiniti goes, yeah it's a nice ride but what makes Evo an Evo is that it's an unique blend of power, agility, and practicality (4 door sedan). G coupes are heavy and not as nimble as Evos, it's a different class of a car, performance wise I prefer an Evo, luxury wise G series has an advantage but again, it's a heavy construction.

Evos and STi are really very specific vehicles that it's hard to really compare it to anything else as basically they are the only two cars available in US that fit the same category.

And as far as GTR is concerned, again, it's a different breed, you can compare that car to a Corvette, and I also don't think that GTR will cost 35-40K but a bit more. And I don't know about you guys but to me every dollar counts, saying that there is ONLY a $5K or $10K price difference as if didn't sound like a lot but to a lot of people that is a big amount of money especially for a car.

From what I understand, it's been all but confirmed that the GTR will range from 50K to 100K depending on model and options. Yeah, here's the article. I really don't see how this is an alternative to the Evo, unless somone was already assuming $15K+ in mods.
