He means in japan. Besides if you want Nav, the standalones from Garmin and especially Magellan are far superior to almost all factory systems.

How does the availibity of NAV in Japan help us here in the US??

I would rather have an integrated system than an aftermarket for sure..

But really, I just thought it was cool to have the NAV..

I prolly wouldn't get it if I could but

Keep the Nav. Keep the sayc and whatever the other one is. No way am I getting something that requires $120 maint every 5k miles. That's quarterly for me so an extra $40/month. I'd like to have the tweeks that boost power to the 300 and/or 330 level they see in the U.K. in the car we have here right now.

As far as Nav goes, give me a good handheld that I can move from car to car, carry with me wherever I go, attach to my bicycle and make use of in any way I wish all for less than half the cost of a built in system that's useless outside the car.

This is what you need (and what Mitsu UK fits to the FQ-300): HKS catback, HKS downpipe, HKS super suction kit. For the bump to FQ-330 specs, they reflash the ECU, but they never touch the internals (ie no cams, etc.). And keep in mind this refers to bhp, not whp. An FQ-300 would be about 250-260 whp and an FQ-330 would be about 270-280 whp.

What exactly is a suction kit? I've never heard of that.

It's the green mushroom-looking sponge intake and pipe... I don't like it, but that's what Mitsu UK uses. If I had a scanner, I'd show you a pic from evo magazine from the UK. They also gave big to the US-spec Evo because it was closer to the old-style Evos with mechanical, not electronic parts. Yet another reason I won't worry about the MR.

Jadiem. How exactly is this being tried? Who is your local dealer? If they can get an 04 or 05 MR before November 2004, I'm interested to know how.

I'd like to do business with them as well if they can get an MR. Is there and implication that a dealer can get order a different companies products at whoelsale?

Does Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. have the ability to ship products from another company? such as The Colt Car Company Ltd. which is the UK Dsitributer for Mitsubishi.

http://www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/evolution/range.asp

If they can get 04 MRs, they are sitting on a huge business oppurtunity!

I think the only thing I'm not too hot on the MR is the all black CF spoiler. Bummer. I'd prefer the sides to be color matched to the car, but oh well... not that I'd be complaining if I had a MR though.

You are going to be the proud owner of a 3200 pound paper weight as soon as that goofy Euro VIN number hits your license branch....I guess at least you would get to wax it and stuff.

an MR here would make a great weekend track car, if you had issues getting it tagged and insured..
