Evolution MR - Mitsubishi Racing [MERGED]
The Evo 6.5 (TME) had the following trim levels:
RHD - GSR and RS
LHD - RS2 and possibly RS
I think the RS2 model was the best compromise as it had the lightweight RS shell + ABS/AYC/Aircon/Power stuff from the GSR.
The RS2 only weighed 20kg more than the RS and that included the aircon, ABS, AYC which the RS didnt have.
RS weight was 1260kg
RS2 = 1280 kg
GSR = 1340 kg
It's similar to the "Urban Jungle" package.
The titanium/aluminum alloy turbo has a light turbine than the steel turbine and it allows the turbo to spin up quicker, with less turbo lag. You are not likely to notice it though.
I hope Mitsu would sell the MR in the US this year ASAP!

Evo MR
I read on some Ralliart UK material that the MR will form the basis of the next push for Mitsubishi on the Grp N class of the wrc.
This is the latest car that they are to homologate for the WRC in the showroom class.
They said that RHD delileries will be available from April, and LHD from July.
Given this, I'd be very suprised if the MR model does not make it here for the 2005 model year - (September ~ 04)
At last, I think that we'll get a full evo here, and not the watered down version that they are currently pedaling..........
