I like the RS cus I can get it with out abs (I drive on the track in the winter). If you have a 6sp it is verrrry easy to go 4th to 6th, skip 5th...now you have a 5sp!

I don't know but recent impressions of the Evo 6-speed from Europe haven't been that great. By all accounts the 5-speed is perfectly good, why bother rowing another gear?

Where can these european impressions be found? On the track the USDM 5spd shift from 4th to 5th is too wide. Anywhere you're keeping up with other cars befeore that shift, and then you shift to fifth and the group just walks away.. and on the public highway the motor buzzes way too high for decent motor wear and gas mileage and noise. The first 4 gears are hard to critique. They spaced them very well.

Dude....If you're going the 65 limit, the gas mileage is just fine. Actually, I have never redlined my EVO in 4th, so I have no idea how the power is up there....Haven't tracked it(but I'd like to...tires are toooo expensive)............fine.......I'm a ***** and I'm drunk.............nevermind.....I love my ****ing EVO!!!!!!!!!! Most enjoyable car I've ever owned........and it does OWN!!!! hehe. I'll stop now.

Better fuel efficiency for those paying over $2.50 a gallon already with prices going up. Hey, many of us use this as a daily driver too!

Over here in Cali., the RS msrp is 27,795 but if your good in negotiating, you can get a loaded Evo for about the same price because the '04 are coming out.
