Evo MR write up in Road & Track

He also states that based on his sources he is predicting/guessing that the car is coming to the states. Nothing misleading about that, he is saying that HE thinks so. What's misleading? Maybe the fact that too many people don't understand what they've read. He could be right or he could be wrong, until Mitsubishi makes an announcement we just won't know.

As you can see, half the people who replied to this thread already believe that it WILL be here. Where's the press release from Mitsu?!?
The guy who wrote this article set the 'tone' of the material that way so R&T can sell magazines. He's a drama queen -- I do not like drama queens.

out of interest.. here is a white one from this week's Japanese auction 3+million yen.
I hope it comes to the states, even in a slightly watered down form..

I really dont see the fuse about this. Most of us dont really take our car to the track anyway, and for those who do, we mainly bring it to the drag strip to see how quick we can go in a 1/4 with the mods. As far as I concern, I dont take my car to the track, because I dont have the money to keep up with the maintenance. And if the MR comes fully loaded with all the electronic controlls, then wouldn't you guys think it will cause alot more to buy over the GSR? And how about the maintenance? Most of use here can barely afford what we have. If I'm going to get another AWD, I-4T, then it would be the STI Spec C!!!! I already own an EVO, dont want another one.

Plus the GTR is heavy and a little too hyped up since we can't get it here for a reasonable amount of money

yeah it will never make it here....sorry guys...all hear say. If mitsu wanted to bring a fully loaded evo over here they would have done it the first time. why would they bring acd and sayc over now? why would they bring over the 6 speed now? people forget that alot of dealerships can't get rid of their evo's and they are selling for under msrp.....
so again i ask.....why would mitsu who is in risk of going under bring over a more expensive version of a car that they can't sell. seems to me most (not all but most) of the evo enthusiasts have already bought one. Just my 2 cents. oh and i guarentee if it does come over....msrp will be no less than 35k with dealers itching to mark it up especially when it first comes out...good luck to those who are waiting.
on the other hand it might be good for those people who are waiting cause if a better version of the evo comes out. they might be able to get a regular evo for less. any how...good luck guys..
Yeah...Mitsu tested the waters, and it was icy cold. The WRX sold alot and i'm sure party because of Subies success Mitsu brought over the evo, while the EVO is as heshammin said, being sold for under MSRP because mitsu can't get them off the dealer floor. I don't know or not for sure if the EVO has been making mitsu money, but I sure see alot of unsold evos each time I drive by my dealer
.
I do want an MR though...although I don't like the thought of losing that much money -.-.

Car manufacturers make their cars better and better so why wouldn't something like the MR come along?
You sound just like those other know it alls that said wrx, evo, sti would never make it here and if they did it would be $40k+
