Isn't anyone concerned about the fact that the first linked picture contains a reversed RHD EVO pic?
If you look at the pic of the seats, you can clearly see the steering wheel on the RIGHT side of the car.
I think everyone should calm down until we get some REAL answers on this. This article was clearly written to sell magazines.
I can't trust a source that puts misleading info in their article...

I think it's great if Mitsubishi brings the MR over, but honestly, with production down to 1500 units this year and 2003 models languishing on dealer lots, I think it's a long shot at best, especially in light of how much attention the rest of the mitsu lineup needs to even be competitive. I'm being charitible when I say that in general mitsubishi offers korean design and quality with japanese pricing; not a good place to be. I don't see them spending money on such a niche vehicle when they need to focus on being profitable and competitive again.
Maybe I'll trade in if it comes, probably not. The MR is a fantastic car and would be a good foil to the STi, but considering the plummeting trade in values of our cars, it'd be hard to swallow financially. If the car costs $32K in Japan doesn't necessarily mean it will cost $33K here, especially since the GSR with all the goodies is in the mid 20's in Japan. When you're selling a car in such low volume, you have to split the significant cost of federalizing a vehicle with a fairly small number of cars, not to mention the US only emissions equipment, I think we're talking about a price in the high 30's at least. Still worth the money, compared to everything else out there, but are there enough buyers? A lot of people I see on the boards today are selling because it is an expensive car to own and requires a hardcore dedication to performance to put up with the rough ride and high maintenance costs. Add in the $200/month insurance and the 20 year old kid to whom this car appeals the most is in way over his head. Most likely I'll wait for the 07 GT-R and then decide then. By then my car will be paid off and I'll be in a position to get another car.

Either way regarding the US market appearance, it would be so sweet to have it with license plate "MrAWD" . Almost like it is calling for it!!
Fedja
ps. no question on the colour of the car either!!

Mitsu is going to be forced to bring the MR here because of this (that I posted over at NASIOC):
Just becuase the standard WRX is recieving cosmetic changes and the STi is getting improved driveline components??! (read: no engine enhancements or weight reduction not to mention the other things going into the "MR")
The talk has been of a "Spec C" model and it's actual intro, now THAT would force Mitsu to stay competitive and bring the "MR" over..
See, this time around, Mits isn't going to let Subaru steal it's thunder by introducing the Spec C AFTER they announce the MR release..
It was different with the EVO becuase they wanted to be the first to hit the market with the 03 MY EVO 8..(right?!)

Just my .02 because as you all know, my "change purse" is full sometimes..
Subaru is set to introduce a new helical limited slip front differential as well as a yaw rate sensor for its DCCD system in the STI. I hope Mitsubishi has smelled the roses and will speed up the process for the introduction of the MR here in the States, with the full complements of electronic diff and 6 spd tranny.

Would anyone know what model BBS wheels come stock with the MR.
And if anyone's selling these type of front & rear lights.

Makes me want to blacken out rear wing and tint my car.

hey look the MR has a smaller wing than the regular evo? anyways, it would be awesome if they bring it over but still the engine is the same (except the turbo) so it's not too wise to trade in the regular evo for it especially since you won't fell the difference on the street
