that is a super odd thing to say, the Japanese are jewing us out of something...shouldn't you say the US always gets Japped out of the good stuff? I mean if you're gonna sound like a redneck racist, be correct about it.

I think people are missing the point. What happened to all of including myself who was upset that we got shorted all the gadgets that the Evo VII had. I remember thinking to myself and I know others even posted how we where sad that our VIII was not the same as the rest of the world's who got it with the S-AYC and ACD and Front Diff. Now Mitsubishi is bringing the car to us and some people have the nerve to complain about it. Yes I wish my car could have been like the MR but it isnt but people be glad Mistubishi is giving us another version of the Evo things could have been worse. By all means I am very happy with my Evo VIII and plan on keeping it. But at least when I do want to trade it in there will be a better Evo to pick from. When you think about it the Evolution is just evolving and we are getting a chance to sample the full benefits of what the Evo has just as in the rest of the world.

That's a bit of an overstatement. Mitsubishi cars are a little fragile some times, that's all. Toyotas aren't, Nissans aren't......
(bracing for barrage of negative responses)

What's with the hating on the MR? If someone has intentions of buying a new EVO, then they should wait/opt for the MR. For a few grand more (ignoring markup), you get a lot more. It would cost you a ton to install MR stuff in your regular EVO.

I think some of you guys are just flat out jealous you got burned with a lesser EVO. I'm man enough to admit it. Is it worth to trade-in my EVO for an MR? No. Had I known the MR was coming before I bought my EVO, I would have waited too.

Not lesser, just more trustworthy, have you EVER heard of the maintenance fun associated with the overly complicated 3000GT VR4's? We are happy with our evo's, we just don't like it when people get a smug attitude because they think that a car that isn't even released on the US market is already better in every way. I remember the same attitude floating around these forums about the supperiority of the Evo over all DSM's when the Evo wasn't even here yet.

Mitsuorder...thats just something you come to expect when in this scene..I own a 99 model heavily modified eclipse GSX, and even though I have pushed my daily driver to a personal best of a 10.75 @ 132.61mph...Every dumb **** rice boy down here still says..."Man nice GSX, so how many evo's have smoked you yet?"...Makes me just wanna ***** slap them..but I purchased my GSX with no knowledge of the EVO coming sea side. I have been a fan of the evolution ever since I first laid my eye's on an evolution 6, years ago. I just never drempt of us ever seeing such a masterpiece this side of the ocean. For awhile I was just going to keep my GSX, I love that car and its sex on wheels, but my evo erge just cant be broken and I have already got my name on the "List" to be the first in my zip code to take possesion of a mica grey Evolution MR.
