MR in the New SCC

The new sport compact has a article about the MR in it. It says it is only 30lbs lighter thats probably a misprint. Also mentions that the MR will come with AYC who knows if that is true or not. They also mention that the price will not be under 34 grand. GOOD LORD. THATS ALOT FOR A MITSUBUSHI LOL. I can put 10 grand in mods in my car for that price. Thats just projected. I figure 35 grand plus almost 3 grand in taxes and titles OMG thats cash. I would rather have a regular EVO or LOTUS , vette or a STI.

Good luck getting an Elise for that price.

40k base price + long waiting list + dealer mark-up= $$$$

The weight reduced car is the RS. There's not too much weight savings on the MR except for things like the aluminum roof and lighter rims, etc.

yeah EXACTLY, its nut JUST an aluminum roof, its a ****ing aluminum roof! that saves an *** ton of weight, i would have to agree that the weight numbers are a misprint.

Yeah. An aluminum roof saves 300 pounds.

I was saying that the RS is going to be the one with the major weight reduction. If the MR weighs in at the same as an RS, there's no point in the RS existing. Yes, the MR weight is less than the GSR (regular). But it's not supposed to cut down like the RS.

How did i insult anyone if you were to spend in the mid 30s a basic EVO or STI would be a better choice. Didnt know looking at other cars in the price range was a bad idea?

yeah, you cut yours off and weighed it eh? No big deal man, but an aluminum roof will be more than 30lbs weight reduction, i thought the numbers were somewhere around 3097lbs? ill have to look it up.

Of COURSE there would still be a point in the RS existing.

1) ITS A HELL OF A LOT CHEAPER

2) It doesn't have the ACD

3) It doesn't have electronic anything

4) It doesn't have ABS

5) But most importantly, ITS A LOT CHEAPER.

I'm not sure then. But I am pretty sure that the weight savings aren't down too far from the current EVO. I could be wrong.
