the biggest differences are in the available RPM set points and the knock sensor. The SAFC does not have a knock readout but the SAFC-II does. Also, I think the SAFC-II can hold 2 separate settings, but I'm not sure. I'm using the SAFC and tune it myself with a wideband and data logger. Haven't had any problems.

The SAFC2 also has password protection so people can't monkey around with your settings. Some think the SAFC's buttons are easier to use, but there's no reason to go with a SAFC over the II unless one is just a whole lot cheaper. But I doubt too many new SAFC are left.

Go with the II.

I got a new AFC from my Eclipse days, just lying around. Anyone care to share how tough was to install and setup?
