I agree also, except that for what it does we would be paying for stuff we would never use. It is a great product but I would think you will find most everyone needed the larger MAF or Blowthrough setup with the package of AIT harness etc rather then all the features so the numbers would make it cheaper. Least most using the UTEC.

so it a s-afc + timming control + data loger + the ability to get rid of the the MAF for $400 plus some sensors/ wires

Iam i reading this right?

target AFR for WOT is pretty neat. Will it work with a LM1?

I'd definitely pick one up if I had the extra cash..

I need to replace my MAF controller because it shorted out after the body shop recently tried to wash under the hood using a high pressure washer..

I'd really like to use the MAFTPro, but it has so many extra features I'll never use, the target AFR thing is cool, and it should work with the UTEC if you tune the UTEC to have enough overhead in your MAF reading for it to adequately add fuel..

A few Questions to FullThrottle guys (since I pestered them enough earlier this year..)

1) Can I use the boost control features to control a water injection kit instead?
2) I'd like to use the analog ford cobra MAF over the GM, and Ford AIT sensor instead of the GM, can those inputs be set correctly? Using voltage for the MAF over a square wave Hz?, and the AIT sensor would need to also be calibrated slightly differently.. I'm more interested in how exactly it would be done since aquiring one to do that, and not being able to would probably really frustrate me.

Just offering options here, since I don't want to remove my existing MAF since its integrated into my very expensive buschur upper intercooler pipe.

PM Me if you can possibly send me an evaluation unit so I can see if I can get this to work with my setup. If It can, I'd like to work with you guys.

Worse comes to worse, I'll switch over to speed density, but I'd really like to use the Cobra MAF because of the amazing drivability the car had (Evo-Tech and a few others can attest to that one)

Probably not, it would be easier to develop a new unit specifically to do these things, the Megasquirt is a standalone ECU.. Btw I'll be ordering one with the addon ignition controller for the Malibu.. Just want to pick up a throttlebody for my application first..

On the Innovate forums you can find them for sale every now and then. I read up on these a little bit. I'll keep my 7AL in the Regal.

Although way off topic, I have a MSD 6BTM, with an HEI 4pin module on the Malibu, so the basic ignition control is all I need.. I do need a 3 bar sensor though once the twin turbo setup is done I need way more granular ignition control. We can start a new discussion on another thread in the other cars section..

yes, LM1, LC1, FJO, AEM, Zeitronix, PLX, Tech Edge are all supported.

(did I miss any?)

What is the wideband input range? 0-5v to represent 9:1 through 20:1 or is that adjustable? If it is, you can easily adapt it to any setup that has a wideband analog output.. My turboXS Tuner Pro's output is configured to match the PLX Devices gauge, which means the output is currently the same as the PLX.. So its important to note that it should work with ANY wideband that has a configurable Analog wideband output...

So whats all needed to run speed density? We obviously need the maftpro, ait sensor, map sensor, and the pnp harness, right?

The wideband input is not user configurable, just user selectable from teh profiles currently supported. More wideband configurations are easily added though. And yes, any wideband with a configurable output is supported (good point).

Basically, thats the list. With the DSM's there is a speed density harness that connects the MAP and IAT sensors to the Vehicle MAF plug, and the sensor signals are then intercepted at the ECU. The MAF plug for the EVO does not have a mating part available (yet), so the PnP harness is the easiest.

For boost control you need a harness and solenoid.

For the wideband stuff, you just connect the wires in the Pro to the wideband's analog output.
