Ok I got the stuff and I am installing everything now. Already fabricated my Upper IC pipe. Now I am splicing the stuff on the ECU. TurboBob anything that I need to change thats EVO specific? I am going to be using Speed Density and UTEC will continue to do most of the fuel and of course timing. Let me know if anything comes to mind.

Let me get rid of the in-laws (they are upstairs, I need to go 'entertain')

I will work with you oin the install and setup, but its pretty easy. There will be a little tuning necessary due to your cams.

Back in a few.

Please keep us posted and take pics of the install if you can. I have to give major props to Malibuack for being the first to venture into this territory, but I do think that this setup is an improvement. If this works out it will be freakin great!! The option of switching between speed density or blowthrough MAF is just crazy. I would use speed density in the summer and Blowthrough in the winter for cold starts. While using speed density, I would ditch the MAF alltogether to remove the restriction. It kills me that Turbo XS could theoretically do the same thing through a software only upgrade to the Utec.

I thought i=on the LM-1 there would be analog out's, I know on the LC-1 there are 2 out's can't remeber the wire colors though.

I really can't wait to hear the outcome of this, your feedback will be my deciding factor along with Turbobob's feedback.

I have already sourced a AIT sensor locally. And it looks as if the timing tables are being produced for this unit with other cars so hopefully the Evo isn't that far behind.

I completely agree, im sure the UTEC Evo community has been wanting this for a long time, too bad they update the suby people first and let us kinda hang out to dry for a year or so.

Everyone should email this link to turbo XS and let them know how much interest there is in this. Hell they could jusy pay the developer a huge license fee for the algorithms and be done with it. They could recoup the cost by charging each user $50 for new firmware. I would be first in line to pay $50 for this. Keep in mind this will also work for all the Subie guys out there. That's a lot of $50 bills. Enough to cover whatever they would have to pay the developer for the licence. Just my 2 cents.

yes, the crank sensor is preferred over the RPM signal. But either will work.

The LM1 has 2 analog outputs, use analog output 2 and ground to feed the Orange and purple wires (respectively) from the 10 wire harness.

Do you have your laptop handy? I want to send you an update.

PM me your email.

Thanks!

Screenshot

The first 10 sec pass with a Translator Pro happened last weekend.

This is from a customer in Kentucky. Tuned with the keypad, not the laptop.

Note that he is tuned extremely rich, but the AFR tracking pulled him back to an almost reasonable AFR. Boost control is rocking as well!
