Well one thing I just thought of is using the MAP sensor as the load indicator. But what the fuel correction? The UTEC is running the car way to lean. Anyone have a suggestion?

I would suggest using the map sensor as a load indicator, sounds like a plan.

MAP as the load point vs. throttle position as WB Phillip stated. Meth + TPS based tuning is disasterous. MAF intact.

Yeah problem solved. Took the car around the block and its now reading load correctly. But the fuel problem is pretty big If I turn Open Loop Fueling off UTEC won't alter fuel correct?

You mean map vs rpm right? That's what i was going for with the utec.

i think so, i wish jack would chime in to help. Thats not a bad idea, controlling timing w/ the Utec, Fuel with the MAFTPro

Man that's a tough question. I may be completely wrong, but i thought the maf t pro calculates fuel and then you can do whatever you want on top of that using the utec. Since in open loop the utec works from a background map, it ignores the maf t pro calculations. So in this case i'd turn off open loop and tune the fuel map from there.

Yeah, MAP becomes TPS%.

I don't get what you're trying to say. Are you saying the map is converted into tps so the maf t pro can determine what load it's in?

Not the MAFT, the UTEC.

This is how the safc is wired and tuned on my car. If he is using TPS to tune AND is running meth, that is going to be difficult and near impossible to get right. One would assume he would use the map signal as the TPS input signal IF THE UTEC could be set up in such a way. Since SAFC has lows and highs settings you set the low to the % corresponding to the 0 zero boost % and high % to the highest boost attainable %.

I have little experience with the UTEC so am not certain this can be done. I say ditch the UTEC altogether if the MAFT can do all the functions of the UTEC anyway and save $900.

the more I think about it the UTEC is pretty useless now If I can get someone to change the timing tables on my stock ECU it makes the UTEC useless. With the money I get from selling I can probally get a MSD ignition box with 2 step on it

Do you know if Jestr will do a timing only ECU upgrade? I will be up in orlando this weekend...

I wonder if pulling fuel from the MAFT would affect the timing numbers at all?
