While using speed density, I would ditch the MAF alltogether to remove the restriction. It kills me that Turbo XS could theoretically do the same thing through a software only upgrade to the Utec.
Just needed to say it again.

umm holy **** this works !!! hehe just ran a few times at WOT. The AFR tracking works. Once it kicked in it kept the car at my desired AFR which is 11.4. Only problem is with tip-in acceleration and stumbles when starting off. That is easily fixed tho. Right now btw I am running on MAP0.

so are you going to still do most of you tuning through the Utec and just let the the AFR tracking do its job or whats the deal, is it going to be lots of work to get them to work together?

Hey Bob us with larger injectors how will we compensate for this? Fuel trims?

Good job so far joey, keep up the good work for us.

I am outside for the rest of the morning, tidying up the meth injection so I won't have any problems installing this when I order one when the PNP harness is avaliable, wiring is not my strong point.

I am going to setup the AFR on the MAFTpro as close to stock as possible (rich). Then I plan on still using UTEC for the AFR/Timing. Bob has plans to include a switch so you switch between a race/meth map and a normal map. Once that is done I will probally use MAFTpro for AFR with the target AFR etc... I am going to go get lunch and wait for the heat to go down a bit then i'll do some more tuning. For now the car is running great.

For those interested in purchasing this you need to order the following:

M A F Translator PRO
GM Air Temp sensor for MAFT PRO
Gm 3 Bar Map Sensor
36" air temp extension
Universal Speed Density harness 6 ft.

There is no need for a PNP harness etc... You might want to give Bob a week to finalize the software updates for the EVO. He sent me a file to flash the MAFTpro but its not a production file. It works for me but I did some tweaking to the config. If your not to familar with these kind of things just wait for him to release the updated flash.

You can find all that stuff at http://www.fullthrottlespeed.com/

That idea will mostly likey work better with non-UTEC, Xede, etc piggybacks. The map switch should do the same job. Figuring that timing is more advanced with alky/meth than a regular map. My meth/alky map is completely different than my 93oct map. This might be the end all to flashes as well as soon as their timing control comes out, might even hamper piggyback sales as well.

When you get a chance can you snap a picture of the air temp sensor? I have an extra hard pipe laying around, I can get a jump on this before i even get this.

Actually that feature is already in the software,. The Aux fuel settings are engaged when the purple wire in the speed-density (6 pin) harness is energized. There is an entry in the AFR tracking page to shift the target AFR when that input is activated as well...

IAT sensor is 3/8" NPT, its a GM standard sensor.
