Speed density is not as easy as tuning with the stock MAF. But once you get the hang of it, it's straighforward.

You can leave your stock MAF on the car and tune it that way until you learn the unit. Then switch.

This is the best advice. The thing works exceptionally well with the MAF. I actually went from safc to MAFTPro speed density without even trying the "with MAF" option and things worked out great for me.

Chasing down a knock sensor issue I did go back to MAF to try to locate the issue and realized how great it works with boost and AFR MAP switching on that application also.

It seems real promising if one can get MAFT Pro dialed in.

You can use virtually any MAF with the unit....... GM, Ford, etc......

I have a GM MAF for my car which I run once in a while. A couple button-clicks and I'm done.

The GM MAF is probably the route I'll go.

The problem I have now is trying to figure out how to connect the GM MAF, UICP
and CAI without requiring a small battery setup.

Also on the MAFTPro home page...
I didn't see TTP as one of the listed .

I love the idea of the speed density option but will it pass emmisions since you will not have the maf connected? If so I am sold...

And could you pm me a price for just the speed/density route (no maf)..thanks

PM TTP for pricing, or check out his web site.

The MAFT Pro creates a signal that takes the place of the MAF signal.

As far as a visual test, that would depend on your car, etc. You can always install the MAF for the test, and take it back off after.

Scott - Regarding MAFTPro and AIT :

- My Nisei FMIC pipe has an AIT bung hole for AEM EMS. Will that work? Cannot tell by that pic. All I need to do is install the GM AIT in the IC pipe, correct and eliminate the stock MAF, right? I know boost sensor needs installed as well...

- What intake pipe is recommended at this point? Is there a generic 3" intake that can be used?

Thanks!

That AIT bung location will work fine.

Not sure on the intake pipe, Scott can answer that one.

Personally I use an INJEN intake pipe. Dejontool has an assortment of intake pipes.

I have a 3G eclipse, so the ECU's are different... i can swap in a EVO ECU but then id have to switch to a 5spd and i actually like my sporty but thats still an option...
my question with that is would scott or Turbobob know if i could use this with the 3G ecu?
