It WILL work with the EVO IX.

It is the boomslang harness that we will not have available until April sometime. We are waiting on some tooling and components from Japan.

Absolutely. Any wideband with analog output should work.

Let me repeat that YOU DO NOT NEED A WIDEBAND to use the MAFTPro.

It is much easier to tune however, you can log AFR and AUTOMATIC AIR FUEL RATIO TRACKING will only work with a wideband.

You can either enable or disable AFR tracking.

Just to add, you do not need a wideband with any engine management, but it would be logical to use one if you plan on doing your own tuning. You have to calibrate the wideband to the engine managment via the analog output. Only thing I am not sure on is if the analog output on the zeitronix is linear?

The Zeitronix is not linear, but the Pro has the proper calibration for it.

I currently have Dynoflash on my car but the cruise fueling settings are way off and I am running insanely rich during cruise. I worked with a UTEC for 2 years but found the UTEC to be inconsistent and had a lot of varience, which made it very unsafe use. The electricals in that thing are scary!

I am not concerned about modifying my timing, as I think the flash I have handles that perfectly right now, but I would like to have some control over the fueling for idle and cruise. Can Maftpro address my needs?

Thanks,
Chris

In all honesty I think the maftpro does a better job of controlling the fuelling than the UTEC could ever do. My afr's are rock solid at idle, cruise, and WOT.

Im glad to hear some feedback from another former UTEC user. Been over a year since they even did any updates for that platform and the support was aweful! So overall Dryad you have been really happy with the Maftpro? Do you get any transition issues or stutters? Any driveability issues at all? Things that frustrate you?

The only time I had "tip-in" issues is the very first day of tuning, but within 5 minutes of playing around it was gone. Now I am still on the 4.0 version. 4.5 is out right now and they added a lot to better the drivability. I don't know how it can get better because my car runs like a stock car, actually even better IMO.

The only thing that I don't really like is the logging feature. I know how to use is but I wish it was set up into raw number data instaed of a line graph. UIm sure there is a way to do it, but never really looked into it. The second thing is the lack of knock control. I ordered the TXS knocklight to make up for the lack of the feature.

Other than those 2 things I love it. The boost control is the best I've used so far. I use to have a HKS EVC V but got rid of it and went with the maft boost control, seems like I have a lot better spool-up.

But the best thing about the unit is the afr tracking, this works as an added safty measure when running alky. Something with the alky kit fails during mid pull and the maft will dump in the needed fuel. I have the afr gauge in my line of sight so I can monitor the bump if it did happen.

Im glad the UTEC is gone, it was too restrictive for what my future plans are, who the heck wants to run a big turbo on MAF? Not me. Some of the local people to me are starting to think about getting the maftpro by me taking them for a spin in my car.

Curious as to how this provides a greater advantage for someone who has an emange (like me) but is looking for something better. The emanage has never failed me but I feel it will have a wall once I start to go deepe with aftermarket parts. Im awaiting my 280s and will want to see how the emanage will "manage" my engine.

Is it worth it to go Maftpro yet?

I would. Why mess with a system you will replace anyhow. Get acquainted with the system you plan to use and start learning it as early as possible. Purchasing the Maftpro through us gives you near unlimited support as Dryad001 found out after uploading the newest firmware last night. He sent me an instant message and now his car runs great, tuned his driveability from 1500 miles away.

Use the MaftPro in speed density mode. YOU DO NOT NEED ANYTHING ELSE.

There is this notion that some think the MAFTPro is just some way of removing the MAF sensor and you need some other computer to tune with. Definately not the case. This unit is an AWESOME super tuning platform that will run circles around many other standalones priced 3x the cost with less than adequate knock control, idle and driveability.

Here is a snapshot of just the boost control feature alone:
