Run a mapquest to Orlando International Airport and it will be dead on. Planes are landing in our backyard.

No PiggyBack ECU that I am aware of "directly" controls timing, period.
Ignition Timing Control
The EVO UTEC has its own injector and coil drivers. Unlike a pure piggyback, the EVO UTEC actually drives the car. When you decide that you want to run 10 degrees of timing advance at 4000rpm, the UTEC fires the coils at 10 degrees BTDC. This level of timing control is impossible with a pure piggyback. Most piggybacks "control" ignition timing by modifying the crankshaft and camshaft position sensor signals before they enter the ECU. You don't actually program a timing value but a timing offset value (positive or negative) that is than applied to the timing that the ECU wants to run. That works fine in a car with a static, unchanging timing map. Unfortunately, today's cars have highly variable ignition timing maps. So you are applying a static offset value to a changing timing map. The result is, you never actually know what timing you will run. The UTEC eliminates the guess work and gives you the control you need without making you jump though hoops.

Just thought I would let you know that way maybe Maftpro can control it the same way when implemented. I think I will be getting Maftpro with my income tax. For 399.00 you dont get the sensors right?

it eliminates the guess work but all gives you 10 degrees no matter what the condition... which means it takes the stock ecu's safety features out.

highly variable timing means that it's constantly pulling and adding timing so you're always running optimal... and any piggyback will just add to that value until your knock count goes critical in which case it takes it ALL away.

if you wanna run 10 degrees in some rpm all the time no matter if your engine is blowing up or singing it's finest tune... then... i guess you can buy a utec and just use maftpro to get rid of your maf that you should be keeping.

i have more questions... how many load cells are in the maftpro fuel control... i hear that ecu+ has 4??? (similar to stock) but classically in the dsm world maftpro has not been based on stock but is all original.

also... we use zeitronix to do ALL logging right?

alkie control is part of maftpro ?

how about that antilag? not no lift shift.

and last retarded question... which gm biggie mafs are supported with maftpro?

Do not confuse this with MAFT. Maft was a simple maf signal modifier. MaftPro is new and TOTALLY different piece of equipment capable of speed density (no maf sensor), boost control, map switching, fuel control, laptop logging and on and on.
This is not a UTEC. You have a Volumetric Efficiency table that you adjust 17x15.
Then there are low, mid and high load fine tuning corrections

No Zeitronix is not required. A wideband is not required. Recommended but not required. It just so happens that as the Maftpro dealer, we are the Zeitronix dealer. Zeitronix is superior to any wideband on the market anyhow IMO. MAFTPro has it's own logging software. Wideband is required only for automatic AFR correction and tracking.

Not exactly, I personally have helped develop it to specifically work exceptionally with meth injection as that is how I use it and how I install it on most client cars. You could do the auto boost, a/f change for on a switch for use with racegas in a similar fashion.

how about that antilag? not no lift shift.
We use TTP-Engineering ECU reflash for stutterbox launch limiter 5000-7000 rpms available. NLTS is not available yet, but once the CAS is tapped in the next firmware update, ignition should be able to be cut along with other options.

Primarily Maftpro is for use with NO MAF. However I believe it is the turbo buick GN MAF that is used is some cases.

Install is HERE

Mount is available at www.velcro-R-us.com

Home depot has the 3M velcro I use. It allows you to throw the LCD in the glove box whenever you want to hide it from prying eyes.

If you have a harness, the end user can wire it into their existing boomslang. If you do not have a boomslang, but have the zeitronix and are buying the maftpro I will have it wired for both units and charge you only for the additional new ZT2 harness. If it is already hardwired into the factory wiring loom, I would leave it however.

You can run it just like BADEVO. He has an on-board computer with output to a touchscreen double din.
