I bought the car with 14k miles on it and it has lowering springs but I'm not sure what kind, they are black and don't have a label, it appears to be stock struts. It has stock brakes and advance auto brake pads lol.

First time I've taken the EVO to a drag strip, it's just an 1/8th mile track but it was fun

I have the video up on my forum here : http://www.racevideoforums.com/forum...ead.php?t=2703

I think it's got a better 60' with some new street tires, these are completely shot. I also think I can get more mph out of it with a little more tuning. In the 4 runs I had I picked up 1mph each time as I adjusted the timing 1* each run.

here are the last 3 runs, track vs g-tech respectively:

Track G-Tech
60' 1.71 1.80
E.T 12.05 12.13
MPH 112.90 112.87

60' 1.74 1.83
E.T. 12.04 12.24
MPH 113.97 113.29

60' 1.67 1.70
E.T. 11.91 11.92
MPH 114.13 114.27

I'd say it's accurate enough.

My original goal with this car was to have a 375+ awhp daily driver on pump gas that can run 11's.

the new goal is 10's

next up:

1) new street tires
2) APS dual vent BOV
3) PPI Ported intake manifold and 65mm Throttle Body
4) Aquamist HSF-5 meth kit
5) Forge heavy duty wastegate actuator
6) raising the boost from a 25psi spike to 30PSI
7) leaner AFR
8) more timing

just realized something I missed the other night at the track, at 6500 I pulled some timing because I had some minor knock cropped up when the real problem was a tiny lean spot. I restored 2* of timing, added 1 fuel and got my best g-tech run ever on the first try and called it a day:

1/4:
60' 1.66
E.T. 11.78
MPH 116.10

1/8th:
7.52 @ 92.95

0-60 3.33

35R... ouuu my god... thats nice...
I've the APS twinPort bov too... Its a nice bov. Have fun with it.
Why not an GT30R? GT35R comes very late in spool with 2.0L engine...

hey bro, long time no see!

I spin mine to 8k and don't mind the lag since I'm mostly interested in drag racing. I'm looking to go high 10's on the stock shortblock. after that it's built engine and a quest for low 10's so I'll need the 35R for that.

When racing when do you really see rpms below 5k?

Straight line that is.

when I shift at 8k, it lands at 5500-6000 RPM so there won't be any lag.

Before you go to the 35 are you going to run the meth on the green turbo to see the real potential? It would probably help a lot of us out.

well, I'm hoping to at least wire up the HSF-5 this weekend but the flambeau tank hasn't come in yet. Maybe it'll come in Friday so I can break it in with a little water injection.

Tuning keeps me busy but maybe I can make time this weekend.
