I ran out of luck, the engine is making some noise so I'm pulling it apart. My guy said the valvetrain and rod bearings look good so we suspect a piston/wrist pin but won't know until we get it all torn down. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did after what I put it through daily haha.

the engine is out but I'm working on some higher priorities right now so it may be some time before I get it back up and running.

yeah it was a bummer but luckily it didn't scatter and throw parts, it just started making a light scraping noise while cruising back to work from lunch one day so I shut it down. I guess the years of daily abuse finally weakened the internals.

Did you figure out what the problem was yet?

Sucks for the failure, but stuff happens. Good luck on the rebuild.
