Did a little test launch on the new setup...
I made 3 attempts to launch on wastegate boost (20psi) which normally blisters the tires. The engine bogged every time. The tire pressure was 32psi. I launched at 32psi of boost with the tires still at 32psi and it smoked them damn good and the g-tech said 2.0 60'. I let the tire pressure down to 15psi and tried again, 1.73 60' with me feathering the gas a bit through first gear. If I can do that every time I'd be very happy. It might do even better if I blaze the tires one time before the race to get some heat in them.

ROFL - it is SO awful to see those tiny wheels and tall tires when you're all about autocross and road course. You're a complete nut!
But more power to ya! You're doing something that's not been done with these things, it seems, each and every day.
Rock on, Chris!

I have a rematch vs a high 8 second 155mph+ big turbo formula coming up...apparently he didn't like the outcome last time
I'm up ~100awhp with race gas and have better/lighter wheels/tires. I'm hoping to crush his spirit so he'll just plain give up on beating me

So what's the ideal tire psi on these combo?

I'm planning on doing some test runs this weekend to make sure the EVO is ready for the track opening up soon, but I've been busy this week working on my new ride: http://www.racevideoforums.com/forum...win-turbo.html

I'm planning on being there on the 21'st but with it being the season opener I know it's going to be packed. It'll be a miracle if I can get my goal within the 2-3 runs I might get. I've never launched on these tires at the track so it's going to take some adjusting to make it work. Maybe I'll get lucky and put together a clean pass.
yep, Josh has some very deep pockets and determination to go with it. I do get a chuckle everytime I see his forum banner "home of the fastest street cars in memphis" or something like that. It should say, home of the second fastest

well MMP was closed due to weather, but I did tangle with a different camaro ss (heads/cams/tires/spray) and I let up after about 20 cars haha
however, I logged my AFR and it's going too lean in this colder weather with Q16. I just ordered an upgraded fuel rail to see if that will get the AFR down @ 40psi...if that doesn't work, I'll disable the pressure release on the pumps and if that doesn't work I'll order the 1200cc injectors. I might end up having to do all three but I'm not the type of person do the shotgun blast of parts...I want to learn something.
