now that I fixed a slight boost leak yesterday I noticed my mbc is allowing a bit more boost. I turned it up to 30psi and did a few pulls, it had a problem with that in mid range and I had to fatten up the AFR across the board but the car felt strong. DLL confirmed with nearly 530awhp 425ftlbs and even after back to back pulls it was still just over 500awhp and knock free. During the first 3rd gear pull the car shut down at 6500 or so. I checked the logs and I was over 319kpa too long. I had to get creative to bypass the boost limiter so that didn't happen anymore.
I only did one run, the temps are up to 40*+ with 80% humidity today and I was hoping that would help with the traction but it didn't 1.88 60' spinning like nuts but I feathered the throttle to keep from riding the rev limiter and shifted at the right time. I banged the gears at 8k and rode 4th to nearly 8500 before the g-tech was satisfied so I knew it was a good run. I have a new best... 127.2mph! and it only had a quick 2 count of knock on pure 93 octane. The car feels awesome.
1.88 60' spinning
7.5 @ 98.2mph 1/8th
11.45 @ 127.2mph 1/4
looks like it'll do 11.2 easily with traction
here's the DLL from today @ 30psi:

I haven't done an overlay in awhile now...
HTA 35R @ 30psi on 93 octane vs Evogreen 20G @ 26psi (spike) also on 93 octane.
changes between turbos was injectors, kenne bell boost a pump, ported intake and 65mm tb

you're welcome, glad you found the thread helpful.
I ran into a snag , fuel cut! I'm holding over 319kpa for too long in 2nd gear now that it's turned a little colder. I have the map maxed out at 319kpa but I forgot to up the delay timer from the stock 1000ms (one second) I bumped it up and so far no more fuel cut. 2nd gear is EVIL!

Hey Chris glad to hear you have such an awesome setup! Sounds like I need to come back to Tenn and learn from you guys! These guys in VA are a little less likely to try the wild stuff. I've been loving this thread, lotsa good data and ideas. So I bought a new Macbook Pro and am trying to learn this new system. My old Windows laptop is down for the count. As soon as I can borrow one from someone out here I'll get you some data runs and we can keep tuning on mine! LOL Still got that damn P0300 code coming back. Any ideas? Talk to you soon.

I've always stuck to street tires on my cars but the EVO is useless in 1st gear now while I'm pedaling it so I'm thinking about getting a set of drag radials.
I've been reading about the bfgoodrich g-force t/a drag radial and tire rack also has a bfgoodrich g-force t/a drag radial-2 so I'm not sure which one I need.
I'm going to be playing on the street and strip only and want maximum grip so tread life doesn't matter at all. They'll only be installed for race time. I don't want a tall tire, I want something that looks stockish so I don't scare people away
I also like the idea of keeping them on stock rims...can I go wider like I did with my street tires which are the Falken Azenis RT-615 255/40-17 instead of the stock 235/45-17?
currently the car is in the 500awhp area on pump gas with the HTA 35R but I'm going to be doing the built shorty + race gas tune eventually.
anyone have personal experience with this on an evo?

Chris,
I worked on the BFG account at an ad agency for a bit so I have some decent knowledge of their tires. The BFG drag radial will give you the traction you are looking for but you are going to sacrifice turning ability for it because of the soft sidewall.
They will look stockish compared to something like a mickey thompson though.
Be careful what you wish for in grip though. Your TC is going to hate you.
