I went to the Memphis Motorsports Park and entered my silver EVO in the autox put on by the SCCA and had a blast. The EVOs took first in class and first overall.

I put together a short vid with some of the RWD cars going off the track and the EVOs making a couple of passes. I personally tuned my car, Seth's black evo (overall winner) and newb03evo's car which won our class.

Thumbs up Keep up the good work !

Great job and continued follow-up. Keep the story going... I'm hooked now! I recently bought an '05 MR and I'm watching this thread and making a shopping list.

thanks man, it's always good to hear that somebody is getting something out of my thread. I mentioned recently that I was on the fence about installing the cams and I'm starting to sway towards keeping them and doing the install rather than selling them. It should give us some valuable information about the install process and results.

I finally got around to ordering the ARP headstuds, I have them on the way from Buschur Racing. Once they come in, I'll get to installing the HKS 280 cams and get some results.

Good luck Mellon! Are you eventually going with a bigger turbo with those 280's?

thanks! yeah the 280's may be overkill for the stock turbo I'm very interested in the 20G LT aka EVOgreen so I've been saving my pennies towards that. By the time I have the money together I might go with something else, not sure. Whatever it is, it has to perform well on pump gas. I don't forsee running race gas boost levels on this car until it becomes my second car way down the road.

I know what you mean -- I'm saving my pennies for the GSC S1 cams. I do not see a bigger turbo in the future for a looooooooong time....so i'm aiming for the best bang for the buck for the stock turbo.

You will be hearing from me then
