Well, since no one else said it, how about a dirty MAF sensor?

I think most people (who've read the entire post) will agree that Andy has done a spectacular job of accommodating the customer. It really sounds like there is something wrong with the car and not the tune. I've had to learn this the hard way multiple times: always check the basics; simplest and easiest first. About the only thing we can say is that the tune is fine (based on Mellon and 4 Wheel Slide's replies), but we can't diagnose anything because we simply don't have the information.

Oh, I have a fungus too...sorry

Yup^ I've learned so many things the hard way it's not even funny. You can't really come to a forum for help til you have a more specific idea of what's going on :\

I wish/hope he gets it running how it should... it's a great turbo.

Speed Element, you have done a commendable job with this customer. Sorry about the Drama, and we all know that it's not you. There's something wonky with this car. It's making boost, it's just not making power. AFRs are right, timing is right... if injector pulse was off SE would have said something.

in my mind, I keep going back to intake or exhaust... for some reason the flow is just not there.

We're all going to be smacking our heads against the wall when we find out the OP is running monster truck tires on this Evo :-)

What throws me is the car is not knocking. And still not making power. It would make alot more sense if the car just had gremlins with knock and made it erratic, and it would be easy to see where, and possibly diagnose WHY.

I would start my quest for the unbelieveably stupid. Oops, forgot to plug in the MAF... my fpr line is off... I forgot to plug in # 3 injector... If your compression #'s are good, its gotta be something stupid.

Go back thru everything you touched and mentally review what you did. And start looking for what you didn't do right. Because that's where you are most likely going to find your problem.

IDK Andy, but from what I've read it seems like he honestly tried his best, and felt bad enough for you to cut you a very big break on money, and his time. I know of maybe one other place that would do that. But only because I know them.

How much can the stock turbo make with those boost levels and meth? I'm betting at 30psi that it will be very close.
Um no, actually it wont be close. There will be a 25-45whp difference.

double check your timing... ignition timing and cam timing with a real timing light... being one tooth off can drastically change things... just 'cause a daalog says you have so many degrees of advance, doesn't mean that is actually what is happening if your reference is off.....

CHECK YOUR TIMING!!!

oh,, i just thought of one more thing,,,, Check your afr's with a different o2 sensor. when they start to get old, they can read a little off.....

Wow, definately agree. Check the timing some thing really out of wack and maybe just over looked. You should be putting down much higher numbers, good luck

The original poster also went to have the car checked out at GST motorsports by Bryan and Mike @ GST. The results were similar.

The weird thing is, mechanically, everything looks good. Did a compression and leakdown test on his car and his results were better than on my own car. He said he did a boost leak test with no leaks. Beginning to wonder if it IS the turbo.

If you look really close I think its the cams holding him back. That turbo should keep making power all the way up to redline which would of put him in the 320-330 range but starts to fall off instead. Like other have said throw some cams and an upgraded FMIC.

Maybe you should change the title to "Car doesnt produce expected power" not the FP Green
