Quote: go lancer - um the car will idle high for about 3 seconds maybe, then you just have to let it sit for like 5 or 10 minutes, not really a big deal, drive around normally (not slamming on the gas constantly) for a while to get it used to normal driving conditions, then you can boost away. this is what i've done as far as learning times are concerned and i've never had a problem with that.
so it wont like stall on me or n e thing? is there a period i have to drive it a wack of miles b4 i can punch it, or can i like punch it once when i get it....jus to see how it rides

I am soo excited to get it u have no idea...3 weeks away...

my friend took me for a ride in his 05 g35 coupe 6 speed (298 Stock HP) it has dual catback and a header and my car feels exactly as fast. i never got a chance to take him for a ride, but it feels a lot like that.

i usually drive the car for about 50 miles making sure everything is okay driveability wise. Then i let things coold down and check bolts/fitting/etc to ensure everything is right.

Then i lay into it a little watching egt's and boost gauges to make sure everything is doing what it should be. If your boost is right and egts are below 800c then you are good to go.

For the next few months check things every few weeks. Make sure things stay tight and that no leaks appear. Fix any problems. If, after a few months, all is well and nothing is loosening anymore you can cruise and boost freely. Just remember every oil change to check things all over. You should be good to go and keep ahead of any issues that way.

I'm assuming the G35 is similar to the 350Z, I was trying to keep up with one and it's damn quick. I can barely keep up with it with my rrm stage 1 and to top that, I have 4 passengers and a leaky 3psi of boost. I wonder how much faster a stage 2 can keep up or maybe pass it.

i was messing around with a 350z on the freeway the other day, he was in front and when i saw him lay on it i did the same i rode his *** until i could pass him, then i did just that he was ***** to the floor and after i passed him he came back along side of me i looked over and he just gave me the head nod, it was pretty cool.

from what i hear... you've been tearing up a lot of people around your town. Also you've been getting some props from guys like yourself that have made a slow car fast.

Hearing all those things must make you feel good huh?

i know they are as i've done that on non-ic'd setup... stage 2 with just forged pistons i was able to pull 12.9... it's all about the driver and your skill at the launch.

they get that time with lsd and slicks. 280whp is what the rrm car is puttin down rite? well with lsd and slicks there should be no traction issues. theres many powerful front wheel drive cars running great times. whats the trq on that car anywayz?
