errrmmmm, updates to what? LOL

Well, since my roadtrip, I did a few stupid things. the BB was adjusting itself to the hot/dry midwest air and I say "screw this, I'll learn you something good!" and reset the battery. this just caused more problems (like sometimes it would start to shake real bad going up or down hill).

Once again, this is my fault cause I reset the battery and didn't let the BB learn in properly.

anywho, once I got to my destination, I reset it again, and let it learn in over the course of 200 miles.....and well, its been running awesome since.

Only maintenance I've had to do so far is I changed the oil once and replaced the belt (I hit a rock in missouri that took a chunk out of the belt cause I dont' have the underpanels on).

I still have my oil catch can I want to install sometime

for future mods, a ported head and camshaft with special RIPP tune is in my future. I also have decided I want to do some tranny upgrades, cause my friends stick tiburon spanked me from a launch I spanked him from a roll though quite heartily, so its all good.

LOL, boe's trying to get me to kill my car

I've been looking up auto launching lately, but it seems I've been doing it right: put it in D, power, gun it, let off brake and go. Even so, thats never going to be as good as a manual launch, autos are just slow off the line

just get a nicer stall... like a 2800.

It'll help greatly.

you mean an upgraded torque converter with higher stall or higher rev before launch? I was only about 2k rpm if that, so yeah, it was kinda low.

so to launch you hold brake or e-brake? give gas up to around 2k rpm then let go of gas? kinda a nub question but ive kinda been trying to figure out how to get a decent launch.....

the only way in an auto to get rpms up for the launch is to put in a higher stall... the fact you can be braking and giving gas but can't get rpms up is due to the low stall on the stock converter. Higher the stall higher of rpms you'll be able to wind up on the launch.

just regular brakes. ebrakes I believe will freeze up the back, but you'll just spin the fronts (ala burnout). but yah, thats basically what we have to do
