i finally found my cable to hook up to my phone to grab some pics off. some are of why my new turbo setup wouldnt fir and the others are of how cracked my ///RRM mani was cracke after just a little over a year and a half.

i basically had to reweld almost every weld on the mani. i am a certified welder and the welds on there were far below par.

alright not much to uppdate here but on one of the madison forums that im on here we're talking about getting a tuner from illinois to come up and tune some evo's. if you've seen it in any signatures its kunizee dial in. what he does is street tune your car, everything like a dyno tune but on the street. he charges $250 for a street tune on pump gas.

is it worth it you guys think? i mean i dont have an evo but i am evo brained?

Those pics of your RRM manifold look spot on to the RRM header I had years back. Cracked, leaking and left me feeling ripped off on the purchase.

same here. so as soon as i get some money, and figure out some dimensions, im haveing a custom one done from like ams or someone like that. a reputable name behind the product, not a company charging huge amounts of money for crap work.

like i mentioned before, i am a certified welder and what the manifold looks like on the #4 runner is that it doesnt even line up, and it cracked where thry "just filled it with weld" not acutally using metal and weld to do it properly.

on a side note since i have put in my evo ecu, i have noticed higher peak boosts from my profec b spec 2 boost controller. last night i hit a peak of 15.4 psi. i think i need to turn down my high setting to get it back to where i want it before i blow something up.

nothin against rrm.. bust most anything thats not made of high grade stainless with break/crack.. 304 stainless will crack also, good welds will even give away.. but if u have a good company that built it .. they will always back there product no matter how old it is and alway fix it for you. not tryin to hate on rrm.. but if it was a good company, wouldnt matter what was broken with it, it be fixxed no questions asked.

alot of people tell me to use a cast manifold for anything bring 14psi.. im like.. r u crazy?
apparently most every honda guy i know tahts turbod has horror stoirs about exhaust laeks because of cracks from to much heat.. all i can say is.. who built it? and what was it actually made of.. (if u cant answer that indetailed, thats exactly your problem)

ignore the typo's pleas.. -drunkashell

most of the cracks come from the weight of the turbo right? Has anyone figured out a bracket to support that weight so the mani has a lesser percentage of cracking? Im planning on buying a mani probably next week or in a couple weeks? What should I do about buying a manifold I want to spend a minumum of $300 just to get me going turbo.

updated my first post with the list and some pics.

went to a local meet and i had quite a few people asking about the car, which was kinda kewl. it really looked like an evo meet. quite a few 8 and 9's plus there were 2 x's there as well. i knew there were a few evo's in madison but not that many!
