So decided against the 16g huh? Was your slave cylinder going to pose too big of an issue?

ya 2" of a big issue. even if i would have mad a space the turbo itself would have been sitting outside of the rad support. so i just decided top sell all the new stuf i had and get a custom manifold done up for my dsm evo 3 16g turbo.

so im still working on my idle issue of being super rich. i adjusted the biss screw a few days a go and it idles somewhat but still on the rich side. thought it might have been an iac but that looked fine to me today so i dont belive its that.

taking back out the turbo today, to fix some of road races crappy welds on the mani and then to also add in a bung for my stock o2 sensor to see if that might help my car idle a bit.

looking to get a new custom mani done for the car and gonna pick up some stock dsm parts for design purposes to see how close evrything is in terms of palcemnt from the stock dsm to the pos road race mani.

also looking to ge a new o2 dump when i get the mani so i was looking ito the maperformance one, but i still gotta call them to see what are some dimensions on it and also to see if i can get it un-welded so that it will better adapt to my lancer

ok so i have been contemplating a few things but not exactly sure what to do engine wise because im getting the itch to tinker on some stuff again and my taxes are almost done, that and i know i will throw a rod or do something to mine at some point since i still have all stock internals...

1. built 4g94
get the engine, new pistons and rods, possible rpw cam or dohc swap from down under

2. built 4g64
get the engine, new pistons and rods, g63 dohc swap (stroker kit?)

both from reading seem to be about the same amount of money, so thats not really the issue and with darkmitsu's 4g64 swap thread and a few others out here on the forums it dont seem all that hard either.

what do you think?

I'm afraid there's not even a comparison between the two. It's a no brainer. The 4G64 is hands down the better option.

if u want a beefy block.. check out slwoboyracing.. they have 2.4 built blocks for about 2800..

if u pick up a 4g64 for about 600-1000(cheapest ive seen) get a good set for pistons and rods 1200-1500.. and have someone fully assemble the bottom end for u.. vac hone and deck the block.. your talking another 600.. so give or take 2400$..

SBR short blocks r rated for 500-800hp applications depending on which one u go with..

pick up a evo head to thrown on it for time being.. and volia a 600+hp capable motor.
