If I remember right a couple of the turbo lancer builds here used TRE's. I'm probably going to go with one of them and I'm piecing my setup together as well.

EDIT: Yep, AznFlip did.

Also does the walbro pump not require an install kit for our cars? Is it literally just drop the pump in the housing hook it up and go?

I bought a Walbro, and just got the pump, I do need the install kit cuz i need a new filter/bag thing at the bottom of the pump. Plus it has all the wires and pieces to make the install go smoothly.

$55 bucks or your 440cc injectors?! Damn son, I paid $150 for mine! granted they are brand spankin new, but good find! For a manifold just get a cheap Steel one off eBay, and weld the 4g94 steel flange onto it. RRM sells the flange for 78, and i know one more company has them as well for around 30... can't remember right now tho, its late.
I just went to a local shop and had them check out what i wanted done for my manifold, cuz i don't think speedcorps is going to end up comin thru on this one. I just don't wanna ask for my money back now, then a week later "Viola" they are done! They said it would be about 300 to weld the flange to the manifold, and extend out the DP the extra 11".

As I have preached in various other threads this is a bad idea. To weld the 4G94 flange onto a 4G63 manifold they need to pull the #1 and #4 runners in closer to fit the 4G94 port spacing. This results in severe cracked welds on the collector. Not to mention that the "cheap steel ones on ebay" are junk to begin with and crack on their own without modification.

What is the best solution then? The roadrace one is 400 dollars and REQUIRES an external wastegate which in turn increases cost. I emailed them asking them if they'd be willing to fab up one without the ext. wastegate support and I never received a reply... doesn't really make me feel too comfortable about buying the $400 one... it's overpriced to begin with.

Ya I thought so too and they look a hell of a lot better than ones that just sold on ebay for $91 plus shipping, I also am buying a brand new walbro pump only for $65 as soon as i get dudes paypal addy that was why I was asking about the install kit. What are the manifolds some of you turbo'd guys are using and how are they holding up?

$400 is a blessing compared to what you will pay for a custom fabbed manifold. Some people have paid upwards of $1000 just for a turbo manifold for their Lancers. And an external wastegate is better for a setup in that it gives you more control and more precision with boost.

so can you use the turbo without the internal wastegate actuator if you go with external?

Would an external be better, worse or no diff? and would this be cheaper overall to do external rather than buying the forge AWG and spring? Also why do some manifolds require an external? Is it just clearance issues? And finally would it be harder to get some kind of NA header for my car and the weld on a 16g flange on that? ( of course cutting enough off to accomidate the size of the turbo) Than it would to do the opposite (16g turbo mani and welding the 4g94 flange to it) Just a thought had not heard of this being done and me not being a welder or knowing much about the clearances etc. Thought I would throw it out.

It's pretty close to being the same price, that's why I'm wondering if I just go w/ the roadrace manifold and an external wastegate, can I just bypass the 16g internal wastegate all together?

Nvm about the EWG lol I couldnt find the mani on rrm to i had them send me a link directly to it and its obvious lol. What about just making or buying a block plate for the external WG for that mani and still using internal?? I guess other than looking kinda dumb i dont see why it wouldnt work?
