Yet another thread about Turboing a 03 lancer.
I still might rebuild a built block but thats at least a few months away. If the pistons and rods are fine might take you up on that slater but we can cross that bridge when we know what happened... I wish I could afford to have english fix it but I'm guessing at least 2k-3k+ for them to repair it. Just sucks the only reason they kept tuning is even to all of them it sounded like valve train noise or piston slap not rod knock or starts of a spun bearing. Can anyone help me confirm what part numbers for all the arp stuff. I need to figure out what a true cost would be.

Well it finally happened. As of today I am unemployed. Ive never either not had a job or been in school so its kinda surreal. Been with this company 11 years. Time for more school I guess and earn some better wages.

Thanks man. All good though gets me to get moving and start earning more $$$
. I was pretty happy with the dyno numbers for a self tune. Im sure aaron could squeeze more out of it if I had him tune it but I dont feel like blowing her up right now lol.

Yeah, honestly I'm pretty proud for you making those numbers off of self teaching and tuning yourself. Especially considering what you had to go through with the stuff like shift knock and all. Wish I could get like you and sort out this maf scaling to get the afr's up to 11.5.
Don't sweat the job thing. Just push through it. And please don't be like those other guys and part out the lancer! I'd hate to see another one go!

As far as part out goes. NEVER!!!!! I've got too many man hours into this project and even though I know its not really worth it I REALLY want to keep going on this and get an LSD, built engine and go bigger.
Nice numbers , a while back i made 222whp and 238 tq on our dynojet !
Putting it back on to test the Toxic Fab manifold soon !
Sorry have not been on here is that on 15psi ?
Im curious to compair your graph with mine as with mine i have to start the pull at 4000k Rpm because of the auto trans

Nice !
Mine are Ngk iridium and are gapped at .025 but i am on 10psi with the tune for about two years !
Getting ready for a retune since the new manifold did lean it out a little !

wow .20 seems tiny! ill have to regap mine im doing around 16 psi too. and my injectors are maxing out.
what kind of load are you seeing? im at around 260 load. and usually +1 or +2 timing...

Last time I check I was around 75% IDC. Havent checked load for awhile but since Aaron did a slight knock setting adjustment I am running +7 degrees timing around peak torque.
Yup Like I said earlier I kinda cheated. Im sure I could get more power out of my car at 15 psi but I just kept low timing and upped the boost to give me more power with less detonation risk. Been holding fine with this tune for months so Im not worried about blowing it up even though I though I thought it was more like 14 than 15-16. We did like 4 or 5 pulls and he printed a graph with worst and best, I had my gap too high and car kept backfiring bad while on the dyno so massive power lost as you can see. Aaron says any turbo mitsu you want .020 gap and I had mine at .028. I am positive I can bring up the off peak power through the band but havent messed around with that much.
got my gap at .25 at 15psi gonna try and shoot for .30 soon and ill just leave this here, its a vid btw
