ya i gotcha.. well the whole idea was to stick with stock ecu for now. ive thought about doing an evo ecu swap.. but there would be some wiring involved.. and i dont think i want to mess with all that right now.. since the goal is just to get it runnin..

I don't see the stock ECU being even remotely adequate for your tuning needs. With only 10 load points to tune from it's pretty much useless on any turbo'd Lancer. And as for the wiring involved for the Evo ECU - it consists of swapping 2 wires. It's pretty much a no brainer. I suggest reading the ECU swap thread.

i agree with senate here. the evo ecu swap is one of the "easiest" power mods for our lancers and it helps a lot. now i just need to turn down my boost controller before i blow somehting up.

u musta forgot the part where trans is still an automatic.. its not just 2 wires. its more like.. 40! becuase ecu controls the trans also..
id have to wire up both ecus to work at same time, one only working the trans and one working the motor.. not worth the time right now with everything else thats being done. it only be a few hours work im sure, since i dont even have a dash in the car, and only 1 seat. and just about everythings easy as pie to work on right now.. but its more time and alot more work.

fabrication work is taking for ever and my cars an hour drive from me, i do all my own mechanical work, so the few down times i have i go over and work on my car for only a few hours at most a week.. once the cars running again and back at my place ill have alot more time to work on it.

if it was just 2 wires.. sure id do it.. but its not.
oh.. and i have an evo ecu sitting right next to me.
i had a galant thread saved at one point that was of him doing an evo ecu swap and keeping his factory ecu for running the trans, but i lost it, and it was alot more then just 2 wires..

if someone would do the research for me.. i could do it in a very short time, i just dont have the time in my schedule with my car being an hour drive from me.

i still havent rewired my injectors yet either, and that would only take about 30 minutes to do.. alot on my plate..

and if im wrong about having to wireup both.. please someone correct me, and ill do it the next time im at Q's.. it wouldnt take but 5 minutes of my time to change and would make touringbubble so happy.

ya.. only till it blows.. (hopefully soon) i dont exspect to make it beyond 14psi for very long. it was starting to show its flaws when i had the car at 16psi on the old setup..

im still doing some research on having it 'built' for cost/benefits that i can see with keeping it..
but more then liekly the 5speed will be in it before june.. i doubt the auto trans will last longer then a month or two

Ok.. so current update..

unfortunatly, i have no pictures of my intake manifold. but its finished from what im told(mine looks a little bit different then the one i pictured already).. i havent been by the shop in a few days, but were now starting on the turbo manifold. there is one holdup right now between me and the fabricater but were trying to work it out.

i highly boubt my car will be running in time not for importfaceoff in atlanta on the 21st. but i will be there nontheless..

anyone else thats going to be at importfaceoff, just let me know, ill be at 4 IFO events this year, i guess ill have my car running beore the april importalliance meet to show it off at it.
