If i do a upgrade, ill do an evo ecu.. just dont see a point in a standalone as of right now. because if i break it.. im swappin to a 4g63 stroker, and then i gotta redo it all.. plus the auto trans kinda makes a huge wiring nightmare..
aint that the truth. you will love the evo ecu when you get it in. the only problem im having now is that i cant get the car to idsle with the 399 and the evo ecu but im working on it.

^^ lol.. well.. I am doing black lines..I cant deside on aluminum(silver) or black, for painting the engine.... i origonally was thinking the nice aluminum because it looks so clean.. but after seeing the valve cover i like the black engine and black lines.. IF i deside i dont like the valvecover.. ill just paint it a glossy black so its simple and clean.

there is a really nice flouresent green i like also. might have to order me some. who knows! lol

boomba waHt!

this is what i call an upgrade over stock.. lol

added a comparison pic of the 75mm vs stock TB.

(only thing thats ive noticed that doenst work is the TPS sensor holes r a tiny bit off, donno if this is a boomba issue or a small difference in TPS sensors between an evo and lancer) should work just fine with a small modification to the holes on the sensor. (im also gunna grab an evo tps sensor to compare, they look almost 100% identical, just holes are off by about 1mm or 2)
things nasty lookin

Sunday update..
Went bythe shop today to check out my car, lookin pretty good.. Once i get my motor back from the machine shop it should only take me but an hour to swap the motors..

Hopefully ill have some good updated pictures next weekend, i forgot my camera. My intake manifold and fuel setup should be finished by next weekend, and my turbo manifold should be started if my turbo arrives when its suppose to.. has only taken 9weeks to get a shipment date. lol.

Im thinkin i might go sand down part of my engine bay so when i pull the motor out.. ill have plenty of room to prime, repaint, and clearncoat the engine bay walls so it looks pretty with the new setup.. I got all the main brackets off the front support, but theres still some old bolt holes i wnana fill in and get painted.. definatelly getting alot closer..

Hopefully my goals of having it runnin my march 14th intime for importfaceoff in atlanta on the 21st wil still work out.

HaHa.. hopefully it will be alive on the 14th..
But i do wanna do it in style.. Looks does mean alot to me also. so painting the engine bay is pretty on on my list of things to do.

All the prep works pretty much done on my part.. just waiting on the rest of the parts to come in so we can finsih the rest of the stuff..

oh.. and any times i might put down at ifo will be very missleading im sure.. ill be on my small 22x8 slicks still, and only at 14psi. should still keep me right near a low 13 or high 12 if im lucky. but i wont be really pushing the car to its limits at low boost because i dont really care to see how fast it will go, just tryin to break everything in... hopefully at 20 or 24psi it will really come allive, and the new bigger slicks will help the most im sure..

bad pictures.. but u get the idea.. cleaned up the engine bay a little bit.. when i yank the motor ill actually do a good paint job and clear coat it.. this was just some sanding and priming i did today..

should have some really interesting updates this coming weekend.. finally the rest of my parts r arriving after a very long wait

I primed the engine bay.. everyone said they liked that.. so i might just clear coat it all so it looks nice..

but i was thinking about painting it all a gunmetal color and clearing that instead. so the engine bay walls really pop out at you.

Anyone have any suggests?
(i have a local paint place that mixxes up car paints for me for a decent price, i can do just about any color)
i always figured my 2 main colors would be gunmetal(or graphite grey) and orange.. and the cars silver.. so i figured it all mixxed pretty well..

what do you guys think?
