any idea why my car could run lean when in open loop?? I don't have a log but the car when I have it goes into open loop and I still have the 14.7 there it will go lean, like 15.4 and below. If I get on it it will get richer but I can't cruise without it going lean.
I've searched around but haven't found many answers except it might be mechanical. I don't think I have a link since vaccuum at idel sits at -17. I have an exhaust leak but its after both oxygen sensors.

I got code p0117 - engine coolant temperature circuit low input. Can anyone hook it up with a picture of where it is located?? Is it located right below the throttle body or is it in the thermostat housing?? I know evos have 2 of them one for the dashboard and the other that responds to the ecu.

just one speed. Heat never came on even though it was on. I put it up to the highest setting but it didn't do anything. Just cool air.
I haven't checked anything yet with oil and coolant due to work. I just got home and am waiting for my cousin to get here so I can go pick up the thermostat and try that. I'm going to do an oil change as well and that should tell me more.

I was getting white smoke but only when it was cold, once I was driving it was good though. Imma change the thermostat and that should do it. Will report back when I do it.
also if you only have one speed on the fan then you might also have a blower motor resistor out as well. i know its a common issue with the newer gm trucks and suv's.
or you might have a clogged heater core. if you have a laser thermometer or whatever put it on the coolant hoses going thru the firewall. if itsa big difference in temps, there is your answer. if not keep eliminating the possibilities for anything that would give you heat.

I don't have a laser temp meter but I think they have one at work. This is going to have to wait till monday though. It's way to cold!!! At least monday the sun will be out.
smoke go away? Mine since motor swap has white smoke at warm up and WOT don't recall seeing it when cruising. Thinking might be valve stem seals more i read. Im starting to regret not getting a used head and having it rebuilt. If its not that then guess other option is the piston rings... That point i think id go nuts with mine. its really pissing me off lately.
