Thats weird i have never truthfully had problems , replaced my ac compressor at 120k and heater core at 160k . Now at 180k with no major issues what so ever .. Knock on wood thought lol
I also had many many problems with my turbo manifold cracking but Toxicfab just made me a new one
Heres a quick picture still unfinished !

it looks like a piece of art!!!!

02 lancer its just little things that start going bad that in my case you only change when they go bad not before. Like coils and stuff like that.

Radiator, fans, and tranny cooler came in today.

The fans are 12" fans that came in the deal with the radiator. I'm going to install at least one of them. They are bigger and a higher flowing cfm than the 10" ones I have on the car at the moment.

Gotta get some more hose for the tranny cooler install.

I was hoping to install everything today but Fedex didn't get here till almost six. The sun has set and its cold out so this is going to have to wait. The old radiator is holding up for right now, hopefully it makes it till Tuesday the day of my birthday and my next day off.

So I replaced the radiator and installed the tranny cooler. No problem. Drove to pick up the wife from school. no problem.

This morning the damn water pump, well I'm pretty sure its the water pump starts leaking the coolant. The coolant is leaking right by where the belts are. If you look closely right between the power steering pump you can see it drip when the car is on. WTF!!!!!!!!!! Had to take the train in to work today. 3 hours to get to work.

I had it done when I had the timing belt done at 110k. Oh I'm still pissed bro. It's like what the ****. It did save me at work though. My department messed up and my boss gave me a pass cuz he saw how pissed I was about the car and having to take the train. Thats the only positive that has happened though other than that, I'm heated!!!!!

Be DAMN sure the oil cooler you get didn't come off a motor which lost a bearing. Its practically impossible to get all the metal flakes out of it and likely it will cause another bearing to fail.

I also wouldn't put it past some dick for selling it like that "used" and say it wasn't. Just friendly advice here.

yeah. I'll rather get a new one when it comes to that kind of stuff. Easier to sleep at night. Plus they are not that expensive.

dropped the car off at a shop, should be ready for tomorrow afternoon. After that I'm going to have the injectors cleaned and flowed tested, as well as having a new downpipe made up and the exhaust gaskets changed. The one on the car is rattling around but it could also be due to one of the spring bolts having fallen off. It looks like the threads are stripped where that bolt was.

Once all that is done and I have the injectors dialed in, I'm going to start buying stuff to go SD. Wasn't there a thread that had the list of everything needed to go SD.

don't need to buy much just map sensor i think. You can do IAT with spoolnup harness but then need gm sensor and a bung welded on. My car is very smooth with fuel temp sensor being used and omni4bar map

Yeah i was going to get the spool up harness so I can just wire it to the old MAF connection. Omni4bar, AEM IAT sensor or a different one??, spool up harness. I think that is it.
