Ok, something I've been pondering for a few weeks. Living in Panama city. It's already in the 70s here. It's bound to get nice and humid and hot here soon! I've been running into issues of elevated temps over the summers so it's time. On top of a new radiator I need a tranny cooler.
I'm thinking of using an evo oil cooler and mounting location for the tranny cooler. My concern though, since the cooler is not exchanging temps with the coolant in the winter is it harmful to to have the tranny temps too low?
Thinking big time, what about if I add a cooler on the other side for the coolant for the turbo? Would that help with temps there or would that really be fruitless?

I need a bigger one. The problem is its hard to find a larger one with the ports for the transmission. I'm looking at either an evo one or the one Slater and 03 have.

I found a cheap and reliable cooler. I have to get this ball rolling on cooling. I'll probably get a stock evo one. slatermvp, how was the fitment?

Fitment with the evo radiator was awesome. Still got space in there. I'm running 2 12" fans. One on the inside on the driver's side the other on the outside on the passenger's side.
What tranny cooler you going with? I would say don't get an Evo oil cooler as your tranny cooler, just get a brand new one. The prices are pretty good on them.

So yeah, I got some good news on my wood today
Also other parts are in the mail on their way to me
Im trying to get ready for Import Alliance next month. I cant let Demon be the only decent Lancer there.
I also have to change my accessory belts. Those things are chirping and way past their life. Maybe this weekend Ill do them... After that I kick into maintenance mode. Need new front tires/alignment, new front O2 sensor, about time for another timing belt. Gotta keep her running!
For you guys looking for the rear brake thing Mirage Man told me the axle he was going to use for mock up at the salvage yard is no longer there. He's going to have to find another one. So, really nothing to do at this point but just be patient. I hope I can get it done before IA though...

New parts! Vortex generator and the oil cooler
Oil cooler is off of a legit evo so Im not concerned about its integrity.
Test fit of the vortex generator. I want more or a flat black look to match the rest if the car so Im probably going to plastidip it.
And finally BWR open ended lugs
oh... and I should have something REAL nice this weekend...
