ok so I didn't try path #2 or #3 because all signs point to path #1 actually working. Attached is a log that I did yesterday and one that I did today.

the log marked "not sure" is at lower rpms so if someone can take a look at it and let me know if it could be related to fuel/load limit or if it might be something else.

I got more logs showing it getting richer instead of getting or staying leaner if anyone wants to look at those I can load them up. I kept the logs short and sweet so that I can upload them through the forum.

Could you do us a favor and disable the other 2 paths as well slater? This should tell us what i think is happening that path 4 is the one thats correct and those others are screwing with it

So in summary all paths should have a value of 9 for this test.

So...path 4 is the path where you can pump the amount of gas you want through the injectors, path 1, 2, and 3 do "other stuff" where that might be limiting fuel in some way? Does the evo rom have 4 paths as well for fuel quantity to be chosen?....I wouldn't have to ask stupid questions if I would learn to disassemble the rom myself

I did what you said RS and it was sporadic so I will have to check my logs and see when it works. From what it looks like when it is in closed loop it goes way lean when you step on it (like 16.+) until it goes into open loop. If you are in open loop and step on it, it does what it is suppose to.

Oh super interesting

I guess the next step would be to put one of the two paths back to stock 2 or 3 and see if it returns to normal. Then we'll know the correct open loop and closed loop path.

Correct even the evo has this logic in it.

I suspect path 1 is something kind of fail safe like if the sensor blow up or something is out of range.

So that's confused me a bit did you have all three set to 0x9 like i asked?

What i'm asking is to keep path 1 set to 0x9 and set one of the other two back to normal like try path 2 and if it doesn't work try path 3 back to normal.

To confirm with only path 1 set to 0x9 it worked fine right?

path set to 0x9 worked fine.

On the way to work today I had all three set to 0x9.

Do you want me to set path 2 to normal (stock value of 0x8935) and leave path 1 and path 3 to 0x9??

yes basically try both others see which ones are the the correct ones

try 2 stock then go back and try 3 stock with all others set to 0x9.

Perhaps it just needs both of them set to stock we don't know yet

If small enough you can just zip them and post

just posted the logs up top. I'm trying to find the ones from this morning. The one from yesterday with path 1 only seemed to have made the biggest difference though.
