yeah I did that one and nothing. The only one I have left to try is path 3 set to 0x9 and the other 2 to stock.

Green Bandit - Where you at bro?? we need to figure this out.

Sorry I've been slammed. I'll try out some paths myself. But your results are discouraging. I'm thinking about going to speed density and just leave this trouble of MAF scaling alone.

What, am I looking at to go SD? Omni 4 bar and that's it? What's the difference tuning for maf and SD?

Tuning SD vs MAF has one big difference, which is the additional Load vs KPA table and the RPM vs VE table. Those 2 tables basically "replace" the MAF scaling, although I've seen some people use MAF scaling and RPM VE to tun, but then leave Load vs KPA alone. Either way, it's an additional step, and takes some serious getting used to, but once it's dialed in...pretty cool. I can help you with it.

To get rolling on SD, best to get an omni 4bar, and a IAT sensor (the one described in the conversion to SD threads). Wire that in to your fuel temp sensor, or get the spoolin up harness, or just hack into the MAF sensor wire...they all work, fuel temp is nice because then you can leave the initial one in place in the MAF, which helps for...ecu control boost, and startup I think. Not a huge deal either way.

You can also VTA on the bov once SD, and boost leaks won't have a big effect on the way the car runs (good and bad thing). Oh wait...and auto lancers can't use ecu controlled boost, so ignore that, manual with actual evoecu only.

Ok, A little update. I have been wondering about this situation and decided it the Tephra was going to be any different so I got the latest Tephra changed the maps to my own and all that stuff and it has the remove load limit and fuel limit and I think it may be a little better. I also changed the AFR's in ECUFlash to around 9's and so to see it it was going to get any richer.

So the news no more 14's so far. Ill do some more testing...

Forget tephra, going back to big maps

if your AFR map goes below 10 then we are good if it doesn't it won't but let us know.

Thanks Link! I pretty much read through that whole thread. Good stuff. I might just hold off on SD as of the moment and actually give the MAF scaling a try. Did you have to do any smoothing? Im not seeing a smoothing table, only MAF size, scaling, compensation, and sensor filtering.

I had a set back and lost the tune I was working on but I did some work and got it back going. I might actually like this one better. Im still working on my AFR's but just might wait since Im going to be adjusting the MAF. But on the way back today I was going about 70 and gave it some throttle got it up to 7 PSI and AFR's were 10's! Granted, load was only about 120 so no fix yet.

Just went about 700 miles with the 440's after I adjusted the battery voltages and all with NO CEL! Quite happy! Check them out!

But I start a new job tomorrow with less expenses over my head so I should be able to start buying stuff again...I need new brake pads so I may just start with new rotors, pads and, lines...

OK, an update:

Tried Links scaling. Changed the MAF size and scaling and the engine didnt like that. Lumpy *** idle with ECUload at idle looking to be about 80. So I changed the MAF size back to stock and left the MAF scaling altered.

And behold in boost with my AFR's set to 11.5 Im seeing 10's WOT pretty much to redline. Nice, so I lighten it up to 12's. Still spitting 10's. So Im taking it that I should lower the MAF scaling if Im keeping the stock MAF size? I did a bunch of logs and Im not really getting any knock

So at this point Im boosting, 100 WOT, with 12's in my map, and still getting 10's on my AFR gauge. Still getting similar loads of 140-150 before scaling and the 440's now are getting up to 60% IDC at 7 pounds

So does it look possible to leave the MAF size alone and alter the scaling since Im getting gas now?
After getting on the throttle a bit on the roads what temps are you guys seeing? 212 sound high?

Damn, this place is a ghost town! Where is everybody?

Well I wanted to give an update: MAF scaling is working well for me!
I ended up answering some of my questions from yesterday. I ended up dropping the scaling and that dropped me to about 12's at 75% TPS and 14's at 100% TPS

So I started adjusting g/s about 10 every 200 MAF hz and Im not looking at about 12's at WOT and Im hitting about 1000 Hz now with 5-7 PSI So Ill do some more testing tomorrow. Once I get just enough fuel Ill start to try and fine adjust with the fuel map. As of now in boost load I have it set to 11.5 but high throttle puts it at a 10.

Slater where you at man? I may be on to something. You should try this and see if you get results also. Once I get the MAF scaling dialed in Ill post it up.

been busy bro. Send me a copy of your ROM to slater5mvp@yahoo.com. I tried different scalings and nothing was working for me in boost. I'm waiting for taxes so I can have my DP redone since its banging around when I give it some gas and I'm broke like a joke right now.

Glad its working for you. Maybe I was altering the wrong table.

Well I emailed it to you so just let us know if that works for you.

Did more logging today and I think I found a good MAF scaling. I went a few runs from a dig 100% TPS to red line. No knocking AFR's are about 10.9ish and Its good.

Scared as hell though! The engine just f***ing roars. I get in b!tch mode and ease off the throttle before the shift to second. Worried Ill throw a rod. I dont know why since Im not really getting knock and AFR's are ok; just am...

ROFL...to the ***** mode.

Thanks for the email. Imma have to wait a little bit to try it out. It's snowing up here so Monday or Tuesday is when I'm planning on switching over the rom with some of your scalings.

Don't forget that I had the 440 injectors and the voltages. Just change those back to stock.

So yeah, I have a feeling Im going to be doing brakes soon. Im pretty sure Im hearing squeaks from my front ones. I have an idea of what look I want and set up but Im still looking. But while Im down there Im thinking of doing a disk swap. So we'll see...

As far as the tune. Im still plugging on it. I pretty much have it as to where Im in closed loop just about to the 0 on the boost gauge then it gets rich from there on. Just have to get the MAF 100% dialed in throughout the voltages so it wont throw 10's and sits at 11.5.

I got the email you sent me to work. As soon as I change my radiator, I'll flash that to the car.

A little update on the progress. I'm still trying to get the afr's up to 11.5. The 1600 is there just playing with the mid range.

One thing though I have the 5-10 spring and that needle definitely goes to 10. I was under the impression that it would max at around the 7psi.

And probably the most important news is I've been talking to mirage man about the conversion kit. I sent him an oz hub today and he said give him a little time and he could get something fabbed up for the ls oz guys so stay tuned...
