Ok, Im trying to get these things on today and Im running into trouble. Specifically with the brake hoses. Im having trouble getting the hose onto the line. Its just not matching up right. Look at this...
Pictures around the net lead me to believe the line is supposed to look like this. With the crown fitting on one end and the elbow on the other.

This is the stock hose and new fitting wilwood sent me. The new fitting looks too shallow and wrong size dimple at the bottom to go to the stock lines. I cant even get the threads to catch. This is not going on the stock line.

Now that same Wilwood fitting with the elbow from them also. Threads nicely and the two dimples match up nicely

Now the two lines together same dimple size, around the same depth looks great except that the new line isnt threading easily onto the stock line. Im afraid it just might cross thread it if I put muscle behind it.

Now the new hose with the elbow fitting which the end looks exactly like how the stock line dimple looks.

Would you guys agree that the crown like fitting isnt for the stock lines and the new hose should go right to the stock line? Like I said the new hose itself isnt going easily onto the line but the two ends match. What do you guys make of this? Suggestions? Tips?

its an adapter piece to go from the new to the old. looks as if the new one is a standard double flare and the old one a bubble or metric bubble flare i cant tell from the picture without actually physically holding it and trying it...

Yeah, after my adventure today I came to the conclusion that they gave me the wrong fitting. The oem line on the car is m10, the new hose is 3/8. I tried to source some parts at local stores but no place goes as small as 3/8. Since the fitting is junk I'm thinking about drilling it out a bit so it can fit m10. That or see what wilwood has to say Monday.

Well wilwood was not much help. After about a 30 minute wait to talk to someone they basically told me I need to contact SC send it to them, they send it to Willwood, wilwood "inspects" and sends it back to them then SC sends it to me. And I guess after that whole process I guess I hope they figured it out and send me the right part. The hose kit is the correct model # it's just that piece. I asked could I email you a picture you could see from that? Still have to go through that process. LAME.
I'm thinking of buying an eBay hose kit to get that crown fitting or adapting the hoses. I hate small major things like this... The brakes were on!

Wow, thought wilwood would be all over it. Not so sure I am ready to make that move now. Wilwood was next on my list before rebuilding motor. Hope this works out for you man. Let us know how it works out with SC as would be buying the kit through them as well.

Yeah, this is the brake line upgrade kit that they sell. There is pretty much no way to put it on without it unless I find a banjo bolt for the woods. I'm going to try and skip sending it to SC and try to find a fitting myself. I found a fitting yesterday that matted the two together but didn't completely seal the brake line. It allowed a small drip. So close... Sending it in is a last resort for me.

Ok, I think I found another solution. Been spending some time at carquest and Ithink I found a decent fitting. Ill be giving it a shot in the morning. I had another fitting about a week ago which I thought was perfect but it was a little too deep for the OEM line and allowed play with the m10 bolt allowing for fluid to seep out the top of the hose. I found one thats a little more shallow and shouldnt allow play. We'll see in the morning!
Did you buy this as well as the kit? http://stores.speedcorps.com/-strse-...Kit/Detail.bok
