Green_Bandit's 16g build thread
alright this my be a redundant and dumb question but why did you increase the size of the MAF??
the load units, i'm assuming, are what the maf is reading when the air passes it correct?? and the g/s is how much fuel is suppose to throw??
what exactly does that table do??

Makes perfect sense there. When I initially switched from the stock maf to the evo maf my load instantly went up drastically even though it was the same tune and I was making the same power.

Something is up with a limit somewhere, lets holla at RoadSpike, might even post in his thread on this, as that's where it really needs to be addressed, aye?
When you log, what does your load go up to? Even if you don't have good AFR logs, tell us this.
Max IDC % you see
Max Load you see

Been pretty busy the past few days but here it is.
I can put up some logs but my AFR cable is messed up now. I just ordered a new cable for it. So thats getting worked on now.
But as I was digging into this MAF rescale thing and Mitsukids thread Ive come across a few things.
First as Slater said MK was running into a similar issue. It was suggested that he check his Accel enrich tables. I wanted to see what mine were like so I peeked at the Vs. RPM table. The big map tables compared to the tephra are entirely different (I was having the same issue with tephra) and in the big map roms the table stops at 5K. Should I look to adjusting this?
Second if worst comes to worst I guess Ill have to play with the MAF. if I do that will it just change the AFR's that I see at different loads or will I have to move my timing around also?

Would like to test see if this does something its the only other place manipulating fuel.
Stock value is 0xDA41 set to 0x9.
<table name="Set to 9 to remove fuel limit #2" category="Miscellaneous" address="246E4" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

It may be worth testing if one of the fuel paths is more acceptable than another too.
I will give you the code to disable certain paths forcing the ECU toward a path we hope will provide the best experience.
All values should be set to 0x9 to test. If the stock values are different than something is wrong with my xml and don't try it.
Path 1
Stock Value = 0x8B3B
<table name="Fuel Path Test 1" category="Miscellaneous" address="24668" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
Path 2
Stock Value = 0x8935
<table name="Fuel Path Test 2" category="Miscellaneous" address="24674" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
Path 3
Stock Value = 0x8903
<table name="Fuel Path Test 3" category="Miscellaneous" address="2467C" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

Geez ECUflash gives me such a head ache! Running Win7 It try to open the hex in Notepad and I dont even see </rom> at the bottom so I use word pad and that works. Much better organized.
So I paste in those edits and save it as .hex but there is no option for that type of file. In the lancer folder and go to open it and I cant even get it defined from the existing Roms I have.
Slater can you give it a try and see if you have any luck?

you put those in the XML file for the rom you are using. Don't save anything as .hex, that's the roms. you want to add those 3 lines to the xml file, specific to your rom file, before the final line of the file that says </rom>. I use wordpad as well, since notepad doesn't always go to next lines well.

You can put them anywhere in the xml usually the bottom is the easiest.
Try each one at a time.
For the fuel paths it would be fun to try combo's of them they are in order so you could cancel them all out and let the default 4th path take over.
