Your CVT pretty much nullifies your chances of going turbo, regardless of where you buy it. Unless you're okay with buying a new transmission every 5,000 miles that is.

so far as far as i know rrm is the only company for lancers. i havent seen them anywhere else other then universal things on ebay. i remember they only had 4b11 turbo kits for just the manual tranny. then they came out with the cvt. im sure theyre doing the same thing for the gts now too

Call us. 10-5 PAC time 562-906-0080. One of the guys that works for us has been turboed in his 09 for 2+ years. He can tell you how he likes it. His name is DC. Ask for him.

Since so many Ralliart Owners are swaping to EVOX setups, cant a Lancer owner just buy the Ralliart used parts and install that for THOUSANDS of dollars cheaper than a RRM setup. Plus it will all be OEM parts. I'm not sure why a lot of Lancer owners aren't trying to take advantage of doing a "Ralliart" swap? Unless I'm missing something critical here? If the "Tune" is the issue, well there are TONS of reputable tuners out there now who have tuned both Evo's and Ralliarts and probably the Lancer model as well. I tried looking for a Lancer -> Ralliart turbo conversion and I could not find one. Anyone have any input?

Yeah, but from doing further reading the Base lancer guys can't handle anything over a Ralliart/RRM setup unless they fork over some serious cash. A Ralliart conversion just seems more cost effective since most base lancer owners are on a budget anyway or else they would have bought an Evo or Ralliart off the bat. Not trying to be insulting, i'm just trying to legitimately help out Base Lancer owners on getting a cost effective solution to turboing there cars without having to drop 4500 dollars.

It really is a better solution, but most don't have the know-how to piece it together themselves. I would think evo stock turbos are easier to find because evo owners like to go bigger while RA owners keep their stock set-up, but I can't be sure. Either way, while cheaper its not a perfect fit. If you can't handle the custom work and have money to blow go with the RRM Turbo. But if you're up for a challenge you can piece together a reliable RA or evo Turbo setup for much less, its just not nearly as easy. And of course if you have a CVT you're screwed so don't bother.

This is not all that easy as pie. Seriously. It is possible but the devil is in the details and $100s less is more like it not $1000s. Please call me, Rob and I will explain, then you can decide for yourself. You have the choices but do not decide without all the info in hand.

ya i get what you're saying. at the time when i bought my lancer i bought it mostly on impulse thinking eh what the hell ill build it up over the years, and the fact when i was in texas there werent any evos for sale in the area...plus ya im pretty broke...
still saving up for an sti and letting the wife use the lancer while i still build on it.
it sucks that rrm is the only company i know that makes turbos for the base lancer, so its a bit of a monopoly unless you have the know-how to build one from spare evo or RA parts...which i dont

The RRM kit is the way to go, mine has a lil over 17,000 miles on it and still going strong. I have the 4b12 and i am about to do more work to it motor wise. I already have my list of "stuff" to log and order over the next month or two. I will be making a FB page on what I will doing and I am creating web site right now. One guy was talkin about the gas milage, well i have been getting over what i was gettin while the car was stock.

The kit puts down a good 100 h.p. more than stock and it will beat up stock EVO 8s too. Call me for details and I will explain more to you. We have a FLORIDA customer that has JUST OUR KIT! He is overboosting the kit and running 12.4s at 111 mph. Dynoed 319 h.p. too. I cannot believe it but he swears he is doing it on just our kit.
