I also plan to install the Injen CAI( supposably gives you 11hp), i want the magna flow cat-back performance exhaust (unsure of hp gains). also, the rrm headers (8hp), finally the next stage power pro rrm has on their site which adds another 8hp. So judging by the numbers thats a possible 272 horses. does this seem realistic? and please don't give me the "trade it in and get an evo" bull****. i do this because its something i am going to enjoy doing. Thanks!
No this is not realistic. If you get a turbo, no need for header since you have downpipe and exhaust manifold now. Honest opinion is do research and be sure this is what you want before you commit.

oh, well no offense but i've seen the research and i've seen where i am able to get 20-25hp by simple bolt ons. (intake, exhaust, headers, etc.) So...my stock lancer has 168 compared to the 09s 138, so it may be a bit easier for me to do so when i add in the RRM turbos additional 80+. but either way i appreciate your input and i will look into the header ordeal. im just wanting to get my gts to its greatest potential. anywhere form 265-280 would be all im looking for. im sure thats what im going to do though.

First of all what transmission do you have?

Secondly, not realistic.

I dyno'd 158/162 in my 09 GTS on a dynojet. Maybe for the 4b11, 138 at the wheels is what you're referencing. 20-25 whp is optimistic with full bolt ons. Idk much about RRM's turbo. I have read plenty of horror stories and plenty of success stories. I will give them props for being the only company building turbos for our cars. If somehow you managed to get a turbo running on your car putting out that much power, then your problems have just begun. You're gonna need clutch upgrade, and some serious suspension mods. (coils, lsd, etc) It's not the easiest task to do and requires a lot of patience, but it'll be well worth it in the end. Good luck.

thanks for the input guys. i will do a lot more research on what i plan/want to do with my vehicle. As far as research go i can only believe what i read. i know getting the turbo can come with a lot of consequences, but like i said, i plan on doing everything i can to get the full potential my gts has to offer. All i can do is trust what i've read about the RRM turbo kit being safe on completely stock engine....for now. Eventually i will reinforce the internals, but not if its not necessary right off the bat. I am in the process of purchasing a stage 3 clutch as well. My transmission is a manual 5speed. I know there are consequences to what i hope to accomplish with my gts, and its going to take time and money. so all i can do is do more research about the capabilities of my stock engine paired with potentially 260ish horses. (turbo/injenCAI/magnaflowexhaust/nextstagepowerprokit/ecupiggyback/a good tune). may be wishful thinking getting 260 from these, but oh well. all i can do is trust what their dyno'd products and go on. again thanks for the information, i will be sure to continue my research on whats best for my vehicle.

The intake will not fit with turbo so that is not possible. I suggest you call me, Rob and I will explain all the details to you. Then you can decide. We release the kit at 8 psi but we have guys rolling around at higher boosts. It is on them. One customer on stock internals and just our kit boosting 13 and made 317 at the wheels. it is possible but the kit does not go out that way. All the parts you need are there. Call, ask for me. If I am out, leave your number. I will clear it up for you. Thanks

this was what i was waiting for. and 13 is way to much. im not looking to push it to the point where i will soon have replace my engine lol. 7-8psi would be more then enough for my stock engine. i appreciate the information about the intake. i have a lot of research to do lol. thanks again.

My2010GTS, if you want a turbo kits get RRM. I have been running mine for 28,000 plus miles now. Talk to Rob directly and lay everything out to him on what you want to do and he will answer your questions and keep it real. I know he keeps it real and realistic because he does the same for me to this date if have a question. He's not going to tell you no lies. Rob and I have talked about a few things for my GTS 09, but right it on the "back burner" do to new baby comming soon. RRM knows what they are doing, I knew a guys with a 08 lancer, custom kit with xtremeboost... long story short, car blow up they didnt care, had a dyno day and leaned out everyones car (at least over 20 cars that day). Packed up moved to NC.... RRM FTW

hey man, thanks for being cool about it. i hate people who have nothing to say other than "won't happen" or "not realistic," when if done the proper way it really could be done. I will deff give this guy Rob a call, but as of right now I am going to try to learn everything i can about what my engine can safely handle, and which upgrades will be the most beneficial to my car. I will definitely be getting the RRM turbo, but its going to be a while, haha, im not one of those guys who can just drop 4.5k at the drop of a hat lol. When the time comes for me to start upgrading my vehicle, Rob will be the first guy i call. Thanks man and congrats on having a child!

My2010GTS. I've also been turbo'd for going on 3+ years now and I can honestly say the turbo kit on the car totally transforms the lancer. Boost is an amazing feeling.

The injen intake, rrm header and timing controller will not work with the RRM Turbo kit because the kit comes with an intake system and exhaust manifold. Hope that helps.

I know the Injen stuff was a disappointment for you. I think we still have it is a pile of take offs. N/A stuff works but reliable turbo (3 years) really speaks to the work that has gone into this system

Noobie question for turbo Lancer CVT. Is it better to use a recirculation BOV than atmospheric?

People like going to atmosphere. It sort of does not matter but it depends on sensor placement etc... We have sensor placed so that we can go either way. Call us for details. Kits are selling faster than ever now.
