Still getting 420-430 miles on the tank everytime on my turbo gts Lancer. It's all in the tuning, and driving responsibly....as much as possible. lol

That is good to hear. You got 80 h.p. + at the wheels which is like 100 h.p. more at the crank, plus good mileage. Can't ask for much more.

I'm still considering the RRM turbo kit but I am worried about voiding the warranty. How reliable are these with the tune they come with? I only have 13,000 miles on it so there is still a lot of life in the stock engine. My main concern is how much this will effect the life of my engine considering I will void the warranty and it is almost new! Any advice?

I say screw the warranty. I know Evolve has been running the RRM kit for over 3 years, almost 4 I think with no issues

Yeah, that's what I'm leaning toward. I went to a dealership to look at possibly upgrading to a new Ralliart and I feel that that price was just ridiculous for leasing and buying. Looks like I am sticking with my ES.

Talk to people with the kit. 100% reliable. In fact, we leave some h.p. on the table to insure that it is. I think Evolve has had it on his car for many miles and zero issues. Talk to people with the kit and not the ones who do not. Also, feel free to call us for detailed questions. We would love to explain it and warranty related peace of mind. Tried and true setup with dozens of kits out there all over the world.

Here you go, i bought my lancer in June 26 2008 and then April 17 2009 I turbo'd my 09 gts lancer manual at 13,000 miles and now its 2012 and i have just alil over 41,000 miles on my car now, so that is 28,000 miles in 3 years on my turbo kit and still runnin strong. RRM FTW

Aslo the warranty is for manufacture defects and recalls and I have not had one yet, aslo I added my turbo kit to my car insur. with no raise in payments ... Lol the lady put me on hold, came back ask how much h.p. did it add and i said 50 or 75 cant really remember lol... put me on hold again, came back and said... Ok we can add it with not extra charge... LOL..... I was like **** yeah... so if i get into an accident my Kit is coverd and will be replace... hahahaha... WIN...

09_Lancer that is good to hear. I was concerned but RRM has gotten their system to without any issues and that's admirable. I bought my Lancer GTS for the warranty but I want to do mods regardless of warranties. We only live once, so why worry about something so trivial.

That is great news and a point I forgot to make. Insurance on a Lancer is a lot cheaper for young guys than an EVO or Ralliart. Insurance companies really charge a lot for an EVO. They know they are fast and know that if you bought one, you mean Business! Hehehe. So a Lancer, with turbo is the best way to beat "The Man." You really do not even need to report it to insurance company but hearing this story means that even if you do want to report it, play down the power, and they don't seem to care or know how to charge for it because they do not have a "formula" for charging for it.

Lancer + Turbo = Cheaper way to go fast!

Also the mileage you report is no B.S. There are so many guys with 10,20,30,40+ on their turbo kit. Congrats.

I understand that this kit is tuned at 7psi or so. I don't know much about engines and such but how much money do you guys think it would cost to replace some of the stock internals to be able to up the boost a little bit?

Well if you look at this way, rumors say that the Rods are already fordge, so that mean to spend 600 or so on fordge pistons... Another rumor is that with a really good tune you can get 10 or 11 psi on stock motor. But im not doin that, Im stacking my money to do it the right way

Yeah, I wouldn't want to risk it. So your thinking $600 would do the trick? Any idea to what the limits might be after that?

600 is just for Piston... you also have pay to take the old ones out and put new ones in, unless you know how do it yourself . I cant really comment on the limits cuz every car is different and state, plus you have to think about the tranny too, you can have all power you want but if the tranny cant hold up then there is no point. One tip tho, if you do go turbo, you will have to upgrade your clucth. If you have a CVT call RRM about there kit and the speical needs for the CVT tranny like the trans cooler....

We run 8 psi on the kit. We have had customers exceed 10 pis for years, safely on stock internals. IT is down to the tune more than internals. Internals , like a piston really just buys you the chance to F up a few times and detonate if you tune wrong. You can still kill it. The point is that stock internals is capable of 300 h.p. We have seen it from a FL customer who did it 317 w.h.p. and ran like that for more than a year. The kit is capable of 300 h.p. then. We do not advertise that. What we do advertise is a good 100 h.p. at the crank more than what you have. That is really quite amazing when you think about it. Tuned and ready for 80+ whp and about 100 crank h.p. That is how we sell the kit. It is tuned above 10 psi. We just leave that to the customer to do if they want to do it. Talk to me about the details but the kit basically has STAGE 2 built into it! Save your piston money for a kit! You really do not need it unless you are going wild, not a daily driver lets say.

I've read that you don't have to replace the stock clutch but then I hear that you do? What is your take on this?
