Ill say this, 2,000 mile after the kit was installed my clutch was slipping. I could rev my car in gear as if it was in neutral, therefore I was first turbo lancer with a upgraded cluth from RRM, hence why RRM has the ACT clutch's, I called them, they didnt have any, Matt did some research called me back the next day said he found 2, stage one and three, I got the three unsprung 4 puck stage 3 plate. Then a week later RRM started selling them, now they have the CM clutch. So, it is up to you if you want to upgrade your clutch, Oh and this was on 7psi, which what my kit came with cuz it was the one of first few sold . Sadly to say he latly i have only been seeing 6psi, i may need to change my air filter, same one that came with the kit... lol... 23,000 on a ait fire... lol...

We have seen it from a FL customer who did it 317 w.h.p. and ran like that for more than a year. The kit is capable of 300 h.p. then. We do not advertise that. What we do advertise is a good 100 h.p. at the crank more than what you have. That is really quite amazing when you think about it. Tuned and ready for 80+ whp and about 100 crank h.p. That is how we sell the kit. It is tuned above 10 psi. We just leave that to the customer to do if they want to do it. Talk to me about the details but the kit basically has STAGE 2 built into it! Save your piston money for a kit! You really do not need it unless you are going wild, not a daily driver lets say.

8psi huh... must be the redesigned kit.. I have never seen 8psi.. just 7... That new manifold design must do the trick... I still have the old and first design...

You do not have to replace the clutch. That said, if you are driving on a warn clutch and or drive hard (launch a lot etc....) you will need a clutch soon. Drive normal but enjoy the power off a roll, you can survive with the stock clutch. Pretty simple... A good clutch will give you a chance to push on the engine more though. I have one customer running 12.4 1/4 mile. I know he swapped clutches to be able to launch at the track but there are guys running their stock clutch for another 20K miles.

Hum, i guess i had a bad cluch from factory then, considering my lancer had 13000 mi on it so at 15000 mi my clutch is bad. Lol it seems like i had all problems with the lancers... from clutch to lean to limp mode, maybe its cuz Im in Florida. All good tho, retune fixed everything.

How much did that cost you in the end? I've seen some numbers for clutch installation and they are ridiculous!

I was on the stock clutch for a while (about 10-15 k miles) before needing a new clutch. Driving the car with the kit is manageable but you really do lose some bottom end power due to the clutch wanting to slip. happened to me all the time before upgrading to a stage 1 ACT clutch.

Clutch change is a good bit of work on a modern car. Lots of stuff to undo. We used to pull a FWD Eclipse trans in 30 minutes. 20 minutes was the shop record. No way you are going to pull a trans in less than 2 hours, even on a lift.

I wouldn't be doing it myself so I was wondering what kind of labor charges that would incur.

We charge about $400 for labor at our shop to do a clutch.
That can give you an idea of what it should cost.

If I was to get an aftermarket clutch along with the turbo would the labor costs be cheaper if I got them installed at the same time?

No not really because for turbo install the trans does not need to be removed. For the clutch, it is a whole other area of work. If it was my shop, I could give a little discount doing all at once under the right circumstances. If you are ready to go on this, call and ask for me, Rob. I will set up a special deal since you would be doing all at once. If I am out leave your contact info for me to call you back. Thnx

We just completed another CVT TURBO. Everyone was stoked with the results. We also realized that the CVT turbo was as fast as our manual 2.4l and this was a 2.0l CVT. The install came out great and the results are amazing. Also we found out the new Lancer is using a new SERIES 7 JATCO trans. This is a better unit than the old ones although we have it going on with the old ones too. So 50-60 h.p. CVT is like 100 h.p. on a manual. READ up on your trans and learn that turbo can be done. New cars like the 2012 are a better bet that ever before. We will get some pictures up soon.

Hey guys, so im basically new to all of this but unlike the rest of the "noobies" i know what i want. As of right now my 2010 Lancer GTS is stock. Would it be possible for it to reach, lets say 260 ponies? I've seen on multiple occasions that the RRM turbo gives you up to 245. I also plan to install the Injen CAI( supposably gives you 11hp), i want the magna flow cat-back performance exhaust (unsure of hp gains). also, the rrm headers (8hp), finally the next stage power pro rrm has on their site which adds another 8hp. So judging by the numbers thats a possible 272 horses. does this seem realistic? and please don't give me the "trade it in and get an evo" bull****. i do this because its something i am going to enjoy doing. Thanks!
