Another smallish update. I got the kit but haven't had a chance to mock everything up yet. I'm hoping to boost next week but its looking more like the end of the month. Had my j-pipe damaged by UPS but I already found one. It should be here next week.

If this is your DD I highly suggest you make sure you give yourself at least a week over and above what you think it will take you to do the install. This will give you time for most any hiccups you may incur plus (assuming your self tuning) this will give you time to get at least a tune on it that its drivable. You can worry about tuning for power as you progress .

Speaking from experience I spent a good month setting up my base tune while I gathered parts and found that even though it ran the tune was garbage and I started from scratch lol.

Sorry for the delay guys. I went through a divorce in 2013. I'm finally at a point to where I'm able to get back into my project. There's not much to update but we (Chase) and I got the ME manifold to fit. I've included a few pics. I'm hoping to boost my car in 2-3 months but i'm currently a bit busy with my truck (blew the differential). I've pretty much forgot everything I needed to know to boost so I'll be reading up on the boosted threads again. Currently I'm logging the stock settings. I hope everyone is doing well.

Well if anyone out there that has boosted chime in. I'm getting ready to boost and logging my car and want some input as to what I should log before boosting. I just got my wideband to log in evoscan which is nice. I think I've covered the basics but want some input on anything else I might overlook. Thanks.

If you're using my rom you should be able to boost right away if you're boosting at 10 psi or less with the evo maf, wrx injectors and 255 fuel pump. You want to log anything that has to do with the fuel delivery and the ignition timing such as O2/MAF/IAT/Injector latency and duty cycle, battery voltage, coolant temp, knock, etc. If you get engine knock your check engine will be flashing fast for high knock and slow for low knock. Although your check engine can also be flashing because of a missfire that can be caused by a too big spark plug gap. Make sure your spark plugs are gapped to 0.025'' or your engine WILL missfire under high loads. Now that you have a wideband just make sure you're around 10-11 AFR under boost and everything should be fine.

I've managed to get a definition for my current rom so I've been messing with the stock rom. I just need to order my walbro fuel pump and resonator. I also want to send my 440 injectors off to get cleaned and flow tested before I put them in. They've been sitting in my garage for a couple of years. Other than those few items I'm almost ready to start boosting. O yeah I forgot about the evo battery tray. I need to install that as well. Did you have to use the evo battery tray?

Looking at the mileage on my car I was thinking I should probably do my timing belt. I'm over the mileage. The belt doesn't look too bad but I don't want it breaking when I boost. I'm at 115k on my engine now. So I might do that then boost.

Nice. I just ordered my walbro fuel pump and a 3" vibrant resonator now I just need to find someone to weld my bung in for my oil pan. I bought a extra oil pan a couple years ago. I think my brother is going to be able to weld up my exhaust. He just needs to get a bottle first though.
