Nice. $200 for the engine isn't bad. So I jumped on it. The only problem is the guy doesn't have a hoist. I may need to get one of my own. I'll probably only need to use it a few times though. Having a second engine is peace of mind for me.

Well it looks like I may not be pulling the extra engine I found this weekend so I may just boost my car. I have a friend that wants me to help change the head on a 96 galant so if he gets all his parts by the weekend I may be doing that. I'll keep you guys updated. I may just end up digging into my car tomorrow tho. I'm a bit stressed and need some alone time. LOL I'll decide tomorrow whats going to happen.

Why don;t u just put the turbo setup all together and then when it runs well modify it if you're not happy with the power?

Well this second engine is a pretty good price. The guy offered the car for 600 but I really only want the engine. I'll be able to put in new parts into the second engine and drop the engine in without my car being down for long. A second engine is also peace of mind as well. I'm boosting a car that's wasn't intended to be boosted. I'm going to start installing the turbo tomorrow. I'm hoping to start the car up Sunday.

The build has officially started. I got all the exhaust off and the oil pan off. I'm going to install the welded pan tomorrow. I ordered a coolant line for the turbo a couple of days ago so I'm waiting on that to install the turbo. The only thing I'm concerned about is my oil feed. I didn't get a 90 degree bend for the turbo but I thought I seen another member feed it from the front of the turbo? I'll get you guys more pics tomorrow.

For the oil feed you can get a ss oil pressure hose made with a banjo at the end of it and a 1/8 npt on the other side if you have a sandwich plate that has 1/8 npt ports on it

Yeah I got all that. I'm just hoping I can feed it from the back without a 90 fitting going to the banjo on the turbo. So far so good.

Oil pan is on. I'll be installing the fuel pump tomorrow. Still waiting on my damn turbo coolant line. :/ it was suppose to be here today but didn't show. I did get my laptop I found on eBay tho. My current laptop is giving me problems when I attach the tactrix cable. Better safe than sorry. At least I'm hoping it's the computer and not the cable. I'll be going over my the rom marcauxa1 sent me. I decided to keep my stock injectors for now and transfer my injector values over. I will be going to the evo maf tho. Leaving the injectors out is one less thing to go wrong. If my coolant line comes in tomorrow everything but the exhaust should be finished. My brother won't be able to weld it up until Sunday tho.

I had no arp studs on 10-11 psi and never had a problem....only thing here is if you have the evo stock wastegate u can't boost lower than 10-12 psi man thats when the oem wastegate will open....thats why u should try your injectors imo...only way u can boost lower than 10-12 is if you have a forge adjustable wastegate with different springs!

I'm running a Forge wastegate with the 5-10 pound spring. damn coolant line still didn't come in. I'm going to try and finish up the turbo and pipes today. My mom's birthday is Monday but we decided to have a party tomorrow. I'm hoping to at least finish my exhaust tomorrow. I'll keep you guys updated. I probably won't be able to start the car until Monday. I'll get a pic of my old coolant line. It looks fragile to me.

Make sure you install your oil/water feed/return lines on the turbo before you put it in or it will be a pita to install them with the turbo in place!

Well I ran into a couple of problems today. First : the o2 sensor didn't want to budge from the old exhaust manifold & second my turbo needs to be clocked just a bit. Grrrr after I got it snugged down. Ooooo also, the doughnut gasket won't fit my o2 housing and downpipe. I can't get the bolts and Springs to go into the o2 housing because the gasket is too thick. Apparently it's been a problem with a few other guys running the megan o2 housing and downpipe. I think I read a few guys used a regular exhaust gasket? I'll have to look into it more. So I'm looking about Wednesday at starting the car up. I need that o2 sensor and I'm not about to go down to autozone and pay the ridiculous price :/ it's a lot cheaper online. On a good note everything from the j-pipe to the throttle body was able to mock up. I'm getting there guys. I'm glad I have a back up vehicle.
