My air filter will sit right about where the stock battery was sitting. I'll get pics in about a hour (1230 mountain time). Eating up then I'm going to work on my car.

Ok i got tuning issues now. I got a couple of codes as well but I'm pretty sure they apply to evos only. The car idles fine for a bit then starts to lean out. I'll post my rom in a bit so you guys can see if I'm missing something. Here are the codes though.

The leaning out issue is a big deal. It leans out bad enough to put the dashes in my aem wideband.

You realize a lean idle is perfectly fine? There is no load at idle so it doesnt matter at all...from the factory cars run lean at idle for fuel economy!!!

What's the afrs at idle? You should be right around 14.7. The roms actually have compensation in them to maintain 14.7 at idle. If you're up around 20afr. Your injector scaling or maf scaling could be off

My fuel is too lean. It's 17+ afr. It goes so lean I just get the "---" in my wideband. I'm guessing it's a injector issue? I'll look my rom over. Let me post it up so you guys can look the settings over. It idles fine at 14.7 for about a minute then starts to lean out.

Ok guys here's the rom I flashed. Like i said it idles fine at 14.7 for a bit then starts to go lean. I'm guessing its the injector settings or MAF settings. I'm I'm running the stock lancer injectors (240's) and the evo 399 MAF. I think I found a circuit bypass for the 2 evo codes I have so I'll see if they work tomorrow.

Ok guys here's the definition for my stock rom. This is the regular rom. The injector voltage's look different than the big maps Road Spike posted. I referenced the big maps and used those injector latency's because I don't know if mine were correct. My stock injector settings don't taper down in the "ms" column like i think it should.

Ok here's my stock rom. You'll need the definition above to view it. I also I wasn't sure if I needed to copy the "idle stepper look up" table into the evo rom. Do you think thats my problem? The car idles fine at 14.7-15ish for about a minute then starts to lean out.

Take a look at the end of post 2 and post 3. This will give you a good idea of what you need to do to get your scaling where it needs to be. You'll have to log LTFT Low and LTFT Mid. Your goal is to get the number as close to 0 as possible. This will give you a good base for your tune. From idle up thru WOT. Also, why are you still running the stock injectors? I thought you were installing 440 injectors. As far as I can see. It looks like your numbers are correct unless I overlooked something. But you'll still need to log and tune as that should just be a starting point. But I definitely wouldn't be boosting at all with your stock injectors, you're just asking for trouble. As it is, you start getting up to 15psi or so and the 440 injectors are almost maxed out on the injector duty cycle

Just put your wrx injectors man...the rom i send you has the right injector scaling, injector voltage and latency for the 440ccs.The idle should not necessarely be at 14.7 at all but thats what i should be when cruising. Some people tune cars to have 20 afr at idle for fuel economy it doesnt matter. As long as you're at +-14.7 when cruising and at 10.1-11.9 when WOT with no knock everything is safe.

I'll do the 440's later. The car idles fine it's just a bit worrying that the idle is so lean that it's not showing on the wideband. I have to run some errands today so I'll probably work on the car about 4pm mountain time. Also shouldn't I be fine to boost up to about 5 psi with the stock injectors?

Im sure you would be just fine at 5 psi but watch your afr at wot and make sure it's not higher than 11 and that your check engine light is not flashing because of knock!
