RIPPMODS Supercharger DONE!
Basically it was already said... win or lose you get to see what the RIPP kit has to offer. That's the point of this. Customers need to see it to believe it! Blazen and Frqzo(sp) are the only ones to have the kit thus far. Their on east coast. I just want a west coast guy to get hooked up and the show to happen. All this will prove is what the RIPP kit has to offer. Hell i'll even install the kit for whomever local gets it.
It's no longer about vendors this is about customers. I'm sure the kit is fine and it is cheaper but i want to see what differences there are. Is it a second slower or .2... is that worth the extra cash or not... does it break under pressure or stand tall... etc???
These are questions everyone has. Screw RRM and RIPP i just want to know the truth like everyone else. My car is just stage 2 RRM that's all nothing special added to make it better. I'm only boosting 9 psi... i will be adding water/oil cooling for my turbo but that is nothing to do with power that is all longevity. I'm just doing little things to make my car last decades like a factory turbo'd car would. All in all those items were an extra $150 bucks from summit and edelbrock.

TC/SC people need to dyno their car
List the exact MODS
The results will sway alot a people on what kind of HP number their looking to get and how fat a hole its going to leave on their wallet.

Hey RIPP. I see you posted a sweet video on your tibby system. Anychance we are gonna see one on the lancer or atleast post the dyno sheet? If you got the tech to post a digital video I am pretty sure you could figure out a dyno sheet.
I know those low tech monkeys at RRM just posted their two sheets.
Thanks.

I think he's asking about the dyno #'s Guru... they are in a new thread Road Race 4g94 Turbo Dyno Sheets... I think thats it...
RIPP will post theres soon i think? I believe they have them on their website but i can't be sure as their website said the kit is 247HP?? I thought it was 222HP but guess they got it doing more?? Still says pending though it's supposed to be done. Here's the link:

I found this as well: (Quoted from their website)
Take a look at the alternative forced induction system, the RIPP SDS-4G94 has had zero engine failures to date. From it’s inception in 2002, no other forced induction system available can compete with the power and reliability we lay claim too… NONE!
http://rippmods.com/products/product...&productId=101
Then it says: (quoted from site)
The RIPP SDS stage 1 kit will work with either automatic or manual transmissions and at 11psi will yield up to 271.32HP. This is up a full 139HP from the 129 (factory stock) without any other modification.
Thus i guess they are giving you numbers at the crank... this means the RRM kit "CAN" or is "CAPABLE" of more if you look at the Drag cars dyno sheet. But the Drag car had a disaster!
If we are using Crank numbers though then my setup as STAGE 2 is about the same as the SC, so i'm happy.
As for no failures to date... well having only one real kit out means that this statement is a bit missleading. After 50+ kits are out then RIPP can say that. Atleast that would make it true then.
That's my only beef... other than that i like how they explain everything and the kit looks cool and shiny
.
I can tell you if the SC does what they say then it's a real kick in the pants as my car halls ***!! I can't seem to find the dyno sheet on RIPP's site but it'd be interesting to compare power bands and curves against RRM's.
RIPP&RRM= Lancers
Evo's and that's always good.
Things are definately getting up there... Lancer owners everywhere are reaping a lot of benefits from this... hell makes me want to get another lancer and put the SC on it so i can have both kinds of fast.

honestly hp numbers mean jack to me. lets get some 1/4 times cuz on the street thats all that matters. in the end i will choose the faster of the 2.
ex changing the gear in the back of a mustang
hp means nothing on the street.

Im with boe - who cares who has the faster kit - its just nice knowing there are two companies out there now working with forced induction specially for the lancer, and just having that option is always nice.
Although - i will also probably be basing my decision on which one gives the most bang for the buck

Boe, i don't think they mean that they have had no failures from the kits especially for the lancer. i believe that they meant that they have had no failures from any of their kits for all vehicle applications.
