thanks for all the support everybody.. It means a lot to me that this info is actually helping others, and its incredible to see how far lancers have come since back in 07' when i first joined this site.. back then people would have laughed when i said 500+hp in a fwd lancer. nowadays it seems to be a little more accepted.

I promise I will have plenty of updates coming soon starting again in a couple weeks.
I could fire it up n/a if i just picked up an evo or kia ignition system(coil packs), a header, and a water pump inlet tube for a kia. but with rent due in a week the money just isn't there.

plus i kinda figure that i built this engine for high boost so i might as well just wait till i got the dough for the hot parts kit and turbo.

photobucket is just being lame and limiting my bandwidth. and I'm not about to pay for an account through them so you guys will have to wait until the 25th of this month for my photo bucket bandwidth to reset.

sorry guys.

Awesome, I have a Kia 2.4ltr short block and a 2.0T kia long block that I'm getting ready to something similar with for my 13 Sonata.

Can't believe how much insight this forum has provided me. Thanks!

yes for the most part the 4gjs = 4g64. thats the reason why the heads fit. It was a guy somewhere that was doing a 4gjs build for his evo. The thought has crossed my mind recently that there are some sleeper sonatas putting down big hp because Mitsubishi sold rights to hyundai to duplicate the these engines.

OAN: I drive a 97 mirage coupe and this is the direction I will be going, but I will be awd. But as far as the engine sides goes this is the best write up I have seen! and you have inspired me to go ahead and start on my engine build. I was doing cosmetics first.

PS: The thread grew over night to to the email blast that went out

well I am aware that the G4JS (not g4js {thumb up})is basically the same as the 4g64. what I didn't know was that kia is still using the G4JS 15 years later.. lol figured they would have changed up the engine design in the new optimas and sonatas.

this is the thread you speak of..

glad I can inspire other people. With as easy as this swap really is I'm surprised more people haven't already done it.

what do you mean email blast? did an evoM mod like my build or something and send out a mass email telling everybody to check it out or something?
